Anyone up for some games of The Conduit online? I'm keen to get a group of us from here and create our own matches and battle it out.
Its friend code based, so just list your codes and everyone can add each other from there and I'll update this post with all the codes.

You were quick! Do you have a local copy? Tested it with Wii Speak yet?

Yuh, got it at my EB today, its not street dated.
I don't have Wii Speak, so can't comment on that.
But the online gameplay is alot of fun. _________________

My friend code is 4168-2707-0349. Sure hope multiplayer is better than the single player, which is exceedingly bland.
Andy, your friend code comes up as invalid...
EDIT: Just noticed that if you use multiple profiles, you get a separate friend code for each profile.

Worth getting Special Edition over regular, or are the features nothing to cry home about?
What is the downside to single player?

So far, single player is very generic. To be fair, I also have an Xbox 360 and have been a PC FPS player for a long time prior to that, so I've played a lot of shooters. The Conduit just doesn't do anything new. At least the part I have played so far. I was actually starting to get bored with it before the tutorial was even over.
If you are purely a Wii owner, however, it is a great shooter and using the Wiimote is excellent. I'm still fine tuning the controls, so hopefully I can customise them to the point of near perfection.
Anyway, head on over to the other The Conduit thread, where I will post more of my early impressions, just because I am in that kind of mood...
Oh, and I have the regular edition, I didn't think it was worth the extra $10 for the special edition.

I'm onboard, and with Wii Speak too so you can soon bathe in my dulcet tones. Details to come.

I've added Crank and radiantfire's codes. Yeah, Andy, yours doesn't work.
Mine is 1333-5975-3595. I'm under Nikachu.
Haha, I was in a match with two guys names "KILLZONE" and "HALO", (in their respected costumes/colours) so we got to see who would win! The winner?...

I had a really fun night... I can't remember, alcohol was involved. Saturday night, I guess, closer to Sunday morning? We had a half decent team, no lag and we won. It was a lot of fun.
I am curious to see how well Wiispeak works, but am reluctant to fork out $40 for an accessory that I can only use with one game and that most other Wii owners don't use. Who has one and how well do they work?
Anyway, Jaws, not sure I want to convince you to buy it as you might blame me if you don't like it. Definitely warmed to the game a lot, later levels are really quite good, but I think it's main strength is multiplayer.
If you play other FPS multiplayer games, then you might find this one a bit 'light' compared to them, but for me, that's a good thing. Sick of having my ass handed to me in COD4 by some 15 year old high school dropout who spends each and everyday practicing because he has nothing else to contribute to society...
Woah, where'd that come from?

BOOM! It's true. There's nothing worse than getting into a game on a casual level and getting crushed by people who spend every ounce of their waking lifetime playing it. It certainly kills the fun.
I play FPS titles alot and they're amongst my fave genre, but I prefer single player over multiplayer, timewise - which doesn't seem worth the investment considering how short the game is.
As for The Conduit's online benefits - the whole gaming online with Wii is a bit of a grey area for me because of the Friend Code issue. It's no problem with games like Brawl or Mario Kart, as there are tons of people onboard but with other titles, I struggle to build up a decent list of players and so it makes things kinda worthless if you've got a game just to play multiplayer. All in all, I find Nintendo's Friend Code system to be a broken, draconian system that puts up ridiculous barriers.
I'll think about it buying it, but the rating of what was the highest standing game on my must buy list, just plummetted.

I got Wii Speak with Animal Crossing. I haven't played with it in Conduit yet (it's only in friend matches), but it worked okay with Animal Crossing. I could still hear my friend's game through the speaker, mainly when the game does that whistle when you catch a fish or somethin'. So I don't know how it copes with the franticness of Conduit. Wii Speak is designed to filter out sounds from the TV. It does it okay. My friend didn't really hear my game, but could here people talking down stairs at my place...
Though The Conduit isn't as robust as online games can be, it still has a fairly decent selection of modes (13), but only like 8 maps. The maps are all symmetrical too. Usually I'm a free-for-all kind of person, but the team matches in this game are pretty cool. I've had some classic moments.
I'm not even half way through single player... I should treck on it some more. _________________

Did a seriously stupid thing last night... in a drunken haze, I deleted the profile on which I had my single player save file and my friend code. Dammit, why do they make it so easy to delete? Anyway, anybody who has added me will have to do so again, though I'm not sure how likely it is that I will spend much more time on this game. Certainly can't see myself playing through single player again, as I was almost finished and the game was so dull, I probably won't bother again.
I'll post my new friend code soon... maybe.
UPDATE: Right after posting this I thought 'What the heck." and booted up The Conduit. Got 33% through single player in just over an hour, so I guess it won't take long to recover my place in the game. Anyway, new friend code is 3652-8765-7544.
