So I just bought this bad boy for $69. Played a bit of Frisbee dog, sucked at it, but had fun. Pretty sure this will be well worth the price of admission. Can't wait to get some peeps over to try it in multiplayer. _________________

I have this baby sitting ready for after work... The only distraction is the only possible worthy distraction:
RAZORBACK on the big screen @ Cinémathèque!
After that the old golfing crew and I are going for a jaunt on the new links!

has anyone had any problems with theirs? mine seems to be registering left as right movements and right as left movements while up and down is fine. also, my plus and home button both stop working as soon as i start up the game, this makes it UNPLAYABLE. is mine just faulty or am i missing something here?...i mean, wtf? this happens using both motion plus accessories too.
edit: frisbee seems to work fine though and archery horizontal movements only reverse after i press A to aim on my first shot (after this it will be in reverse regardless of whether im aiming or not). sword fighting is still insane, my character wont even hold his sword above waist no matter what angle my remote is at. _________________ 360 Gamertag : NoodleLover09

Not sure about the + and home buttons not working, but it seems the left/right thing could be due to you picking left handed if you're right handed, or vice versa.

i noticed it goes out of synch frequently. If you pause it alot you will notice the remote on screen go crazy.

That isn't the M+ going out of sync, that little Wiimote logo always spins when you go to the pause menu. It doesn't mean that the M+ is out of synch.
CORRECTION: If you are holding the Wiimote perfectly straight and still, it does not spin. If you hold it at certain angles, it spins.
I haven't had any trouble with the controls and I don't think the M+ has ever gone out of sync even once in the several weeks I've been using it. Seems really weird, you aren't using a 3rd party remote or have low batteries or something?

So, is the game really worth $99.95?
I pre-ordered it and put a deposit of $10 at GAME.
So, I'll get the free WiiMotion Plus.
But I asked at the counter, and they said I can get a refund if I like.
Should I go for it?
Another thing I need to consider is that $50 Big W card I have that expires next February...I need to use that at some stage.
Maybe they could drop their price to $70, I buy a WiiMotion Plus to make up the cost, and I only have to pay $50, not $100 because I'm using a voucher that expires anyway...
What do you guys think?

No, but it's worth $69.95, which is what I paid... who's selling it for that much?
EDIT: Have you looked here, Simon? I bought it at Toys R Us. Already have another M+, so don't really need another.

GAME is. Where did you buy it? At a shop or online?
So, it's a better idea to get a refund? Also, maybe GameTraders has a better deal...my brother is a member, and buying it from there would be a plus.
But remember with the GAME deal I get another WiiMotion Plus for free.
(So that's two).

Picked up mine today at JB HiFi. 2 games at $30 each, for a game they sell at $79. $60 and, so far, worth it. My verdict so far, although I haven't played all the sports;
ARCHERY - The best so far. So much fun. Great sense of really shooting a bow. To me its the next bowling in terms of party fun.
TABLE TENNIS - About as good as archery. It's like Tennis, but only deeper and more fun. The faster gameplay makes it more addictive.
CANOEING - Quite probably the best example of M+, as its very 1:1 and very interactive. Also very movement intensive and tiring. Maybe not the best 'party' game, but really shows off how deep M+ can be.
SWORD FIGHTING - A lot of fun, thanks to great controls. AI is rubbish for awhile but once your score goes up so does the AI to a much more enjoyable level.
FRISBEE - I suck at it. Its fun, but I'm crap :@.
CYCLING - Rubbish. Truly rubbish. Horrible. what is this I dont even
That's all I've played so far. Beers + upstairs neighbours proved my expectations; it's a phenominal party game like Wii Sports. If anybody had moments of Wii Sports where friends came over, guys and gals, and knocked back a few brews while playing the game, then you're doing yourself a disservice not to pick up this. It's the same, only new.

Been playing this for a few hours now, really like the Archery, and Sword fighting was pretty fun too, not as big on wakeboarding, but I see the appeal.
My favourite game mode however, has been flying the plane around the island, finding points of interest and shooting the balloons. It's just awesome. I'm currently on 60/80 POIs and have 162 balloons shot in one go.
It's great the way it unlocks new planes, times of day and abilities, and I can't wait to see what the last 2 unlocks are _________________

i haven't played much, but the retarded motion control acceleration (throwing your plane forward, ridiculous pain in the ass and interferes with flying it) has been pissing me off there seem to be a button option/alternative for braking, but not accelerating!
if anyone finds a solution tell me, i LOVE flying around aimlessly in games, it's my kinda thing except the shithouse control, and i want speed! _________________

you can buy another gift card using the card that's about to expire; the new card should expire one year after you buy it . _________________ 360 Gamertag : NoodleLover09

I think only when u get to 400 - 500 Level do u really see the AI and your skills demonstrated effectively. Try forehands in TT at this level, u got to be fast and accurate with the right spin.

While Wii SR was displaying a 3 minute video on how to plug in motion plus, we took up the bong and cocktail shaker. If Nintendo wishes to promote healthy living they really should stop making boring unskippable pap like this lest the populous becomes distracted.
After a celebratory hot and dirty martini and a rusty nail it was time to hit the new golf links. Commemorating the occasion was a party of 4 of my mates, all Wii golf professionals. We skipped over any kind of patronising instruction and hit the course. Being the perennial player 1 it was my job to unscramble the slightly adjusted controls for addressing the ball. I liked the slider which measures the height of your back-swing as I use the length of my swing to determine strength. I smacked it and the new slice mechanism came into play as I twisted the remote. Like Wii golf... but with slice control. None of us really had any trouble driving but we needed to frequently re-set the stance after enthusiastic practise swings. We started making some un-PC comments about black caddies when picking clubs and pro-ported that our caddy was so well endowed that he carried his appendage in a golf bag and used it to hit the ball.
Now while the swing mechanics are improved this also made for some unfamiliar play as we hit the green. Having played wii-golf to pieces there were various manœuvres we had developed to counter the not sensitive enough putting. SR golf IS sensitive enough, but old habits die hard. One such manœuvre is the "schlong" which involves holding the remote at your crotch level, twisting it from its base axis and pointing one foot's toe. After adjustment to the action it was renamed "d!ck scoop" and from there things got fruity. It was propounded that perhaps D!ck Scoop was the reporter commentating on the inaugural WiiSR Golf tournament - each of us used a different voice when channelling the persona.
I couldn't putt for sh!t. It was like playing for the first time all over again. Were my friends managed to adjust, I blamed muscle memory for my inability to putt a ball at half strength, after minutes of practice I smashed it off the green
On hole 5 attempting a chip in I discovered there was a club called the "scoop" this was naturally hilarious. D!ck related the story of how it came to be named and how the sand trap was modelled on his physique! On the green I was once again in putt hell to the point that Bone stood behind me, put his arms around my waist and showed me a gooD d!ck scooping. Hilarious.
Being the consumate host, I flitted out to the kitchen to get some snacks. Usually when I returned to the room it would be my turn and I'd find my Mii being accosted by the gloved hands of each cursor, one in each hole. At least there's fun to be had when the game stalls for bathroom breaks, cigarette smokes and snack gets!
By the 9th hole our game was pushing midnight - I'd finally relaxed enough to putt without manœuvres but not before kicking my score out to 15 over par. Yep, the previous master had fallen. My friends tied with 3 over par, Bone dropping a 3 way on the last stroke for 4.
We had fun, and look forward to learning to loathe, just as before, every freakin' hole.
What sport should I try next?

Cycling involves waggling the Nunchuk and Wiimote up and down. Supposively , the M+ is used to keep rhythm with your foot, but the controls are so unresponsive, you can barely control your speed and I have not idea how to turn properly. It is a mess. _________________

personally i wish great old space sims like freelancer were ported waz79.
SWORD SHOWDOWN IS SOOOOOOOOO GOOD.
I CANNOT EMPHASISE THIS ENOUGH.
wiisports games are basically good fun tech demos, and it is basically like "hey guys, here is some proof that red steel 2 is a brilliant game idea". you just beat your way through a level of 100 enemies with your sword. with western music that climaxes in tension as you play.
awesome.
probably the most game like part of wii sports resort,
seems a mix of some good (swords, archery, planes, redoing old ones) and lame (canoeing, cycling, and other wagglefests.)
still, at least i'll get some more fun out of this one now. _________________

dick move to double post but i just remembered something else i noticed,
Motion plus increases the accuracy and range of the pointer function.
not 100% perfect, but I can play swords and soldiers from 5metres away really fine now. this makes a lot of games more playable now from more than point blank range, so useful _________________
