^ Wouldn't it be so silver members don't buy it since they won't be able to play it. _________________

Got around to downloading the trial last night and was impressed despite how confusing the controls are for the planes. I'l most likely have to activate it once I see a confirmation of local servers since my rifle grenades didnt do a thing to the opposition. _________________

Yeah, same here. I played the demo and loved it - brought back a lot of memories of BF2 and BF2142, especially Wake Island. It felt like I was coming home.
I'll also probably wait until they get the Aussie server(s) up and running before purchasing.

Same here. Played the trial yesterday and really liked it, nostalgic. Almost bought it but decided I have way too many unfinished retail games so ill hold off for now. _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

I played the last of my 6mins on the trial and did quite well.
I like how the sniper rifle bullet has NO DROP at all which makes for easy sniping, and the lag really isnt too bad at the moment (and my connection is woeful).
Would have liked to see some sort of dialogue box of set phrases so I could alert team mates of incoming enemies instead of aiming at them for a few seconds to have them appear as a traingle on the HUD, or I could use the headset if the game supports it.
Having played every single game in the Battlefield franchise, I would rate it near the top of the list. _________________

This is the first Battlefield game I have played and I am loving it, the lack of maps at this stage doesn't bother me as I am still learing them, and I assume more are on the way.
Racked up a couple of hours last night but still cant wrap my head around how to control the planes with any degree of skill. _________________ Never put a gamer in charge of the office IT.

How do you sync this game with your EA battlefield account? Any bonuses? _________________

Hows the servers treating you guys on 360? Aussie ones up yet? Waiting for confirmation before taking the 2000 point plunge (get ikaruga if its still 400 points with change). _________________

I spent a bit more time with it over the weekend and found it to be pretty stable the whole time, not much lag at all (and I am on 3mobile wireless)
The best thing about it is that there is no downtime between matches, as soon as one finishes the next one loads up, this means that every time I finish a match and think about calling it a day, the next match has already loaded up and I think to myself, ahhh just one more then! _________________ Never put a gamer in charge of the office IT.

I have been playing it all weekend (39 matches so far) and am totally loving it. Have played with a friend of mine in every match and we are having so much fun. Never really played a Battlefield game before so this little gem is a great place to start. Super simple achievements though... too much so that I had them all within 20 matches (except the play 30 and play 100 matches) which is a bit of a shame!
It's all about the fun but there isn't any reason for me to get into planes (can't stand them) or learn anything new from things I wouldn't normally attempt and get better with them. _________________

I'm horrible with the planes but I use them to sneak into the back of the bases

Yeah the only use I ever get from them is to spawn, jump in one, fly over a base, jump out! Hit a few people from the air (which I might add is the coolest way to kill, period) land and take the bass. The plane has a good life of 30 seconds before I run it into a wall this way Bombing is nearly impossible to do with it. Most people seem to be just as bad, but when you do get a good bomber it's huge boon for a team for taking bases. _________________

I like the achievement setup. Since nobody is really playing for achievements it's just all about the gameplay with nobody boosting or anything. The awards page is where it's at, I'm trying to get them all. Although I don't think I'd ever reach 10,000 kills.
26/48 thus far. _________________

I do agree with you there, as now that I have completed them (1 left for 100 matches) I am playing "seriously" with no concern over doing awkward things. I guess it's all about getting the perfect "balance" between them. I'm all about fixing my terrible K/D ratio at the moment (-90 kills!) and just playing. _________________

I am assuming the Australian servers aren't quite up yet. I bought the game and for the last solid hour cannot connect to EA servers, its around 4 - 6pm in the USA, prime time for gamers I assume. Heres to hoping they get them up soon.
Checked EA account, linked my XBL gamertag to EA online, log in with password/email, "cannot connect to EA servers at this time"........... patience........... _________________

I hated the planes at first as well but after a few matches of Air Superiority I managed to get the hang of them enough to be able to get a few kills in the air, its very rewarding and one of my best matches so far involved circling around the island, raining death from above and shooting down bombers whnever they showed up. It was the first time I managed to get in the top 5 for the match rankings! So much fun!
It suxs that you can't connect ManeKast, I have yet to have any trouble with conecting, but as you say it may be due to the times I am playing. _________________ Never put a gamer in charge of the office IT.

I bought the game over the weekend and played 5 or 6 matches, but the lag was quite noticeable, it was almost impossible to be a sniper. Have others had lag problems recently? (I read somewhere that there were going to be some Australian servers established) _________________
