The iPod classic has had that feature for over five years, it's not that great.

I know it has, and I liked it, and now you can get it for free on the Touch. The Nano also has it, most iPod's did.

Too bad the controls blow, even after disabling the accelerometer. Makes it virtually unplayable once you get to the fourth level and above. _________________

Didn't really want to start a new thread, but just out of interest, what kind of skins/cases does everyone here use for their ipod touch skins? At the moment I have a belkin leather case, but its designed for the ipod touch 1g, hence doesn't really fit well with the 2g, and is a pain to deal with when playing a game.
I just came back from Carindale shopping center, and I saw a little stall (forgot the name) but they were selling some skins for everything from ipods to ds to blackberrys. Funky designs, vibrant colours, easy to put on and off and slim enough to still put into a case if you want. Also it sticks to any smooth surface. Not that I would really use that feature, but it would be funny to stick it to a window or something.
However they were going for $30 or 3 for $82 I think it was. Thats a bit rich considering its just 2 pieces of plastic. <_< _________________

Took these pictures a while ago. I like it, and my friend liked it and bought one for his iPod. Mainly just for a bit of protection on the back and makes it easier to hold.

That's the skin I have - I rather like it, and it adds a nice bit of bounce protection. _________________

I also got a Belkin Skin to save it from scratches - but the protective overlay is shotty, it keeps peeling around the edges - i think Im going to get a Hori one.

I haven't had a chance to play with it much but so far in terms of games I've bought

Apps I got so far -

Metlink
AllCountries
Cocktails
DrinkingLite (drinking games)
a bunch of chinese english dictionaries
tweetdeck, facebook apps...
I'm looking forward to getting

Heads up to those among us who hit up Google Reader for their RSS fixes.
Byline is currently on sale for half price, I got it this morning and I'm pretty impressed with it.
It lets you browse your RSS and it syncs with google reader, lets you view articles offline, and contains it's own browser for when you click links to external web pages. Well worth checking out if you're as hooked on RSS as I am
Some other Recent acquisitions include:
Rolando 2
Really cool little game, a bit like Loco Roco, but with motion control and RTS/puzzle elements, very well polished and awesome fun.
1112
Episodic Adventure game, hand drawn backgrounds and characters, Phoenix Wright style interaction with 3d objects in inventory, amusing characters. Very beautiful. _________________

Played it for a couple of hours, stuck not knowing how to finish a folder that came in the mail, so not yet finished it to know how long it is.
There's a lot of characters I've yet to meet with silhouettes in the character profile part of the menu. _________________

Has anyone noticed that The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition is now on iPhone? It was released a couple of days ago.
351MB and AUD $9.99.
I think the iPhone wins right about now.
EDIT: I am dumb and did not notice that people had noticed in General Gaming Talk. _________________

Not an app itself, but you can get ringtones and make ringtones for your iphone at http://audiko.net/ . I've made a few myself and downloaded a few others, sure beats the standard ringtones _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

My favourite thing for ringtones is to just download Audacity- import your favourite MP3, and just select and cut out the section that you're after. Takes a whole 5 minutes, and is probably what all these companies do anyway!
It sounds tacky, but having the Boston Legal theme firing off at law school was a huge hit (I tested it out sparingly at first).
Best part is, doing it this way means you can get those songs no one else seems to have. _________________

How addictive is making ringotnes and sms tones
Current ringtone: Red alert 3 - The red march (reprise) from the RA3 CE OST.
Current message tone - FF7 victory tone. _________________

It's not on rails, you have a move stick type thing, you press a button to draw a gun, press a button to knife and maybe a sprint button? But definitely not on rails.
EDIT: There's a game called Resident Evil Degeneration and a lite version of that, but this game looks a lot better.
