I usually trust Eurogamer's reviews, however, there are few too many mediocre reviews that make me a bit wary. Still, I'll gladly add it to the pile if/when it gets cheaper
Why would you want this game? Only if you like 2D (although this is a 2.5D) fighters, and/or have one of those lovely fight sticks

I love all fighters I'm not limited to 2D!
It looks different, a bit more light hearted fun. But with KOF XII, Tekken 6 and BlazBlue coming out it probably wouldn't get much game time from me in the next 6 months.

Guilty Gears in HD. Enough said really.
If you like 2D fighters, with a bizzare anime twist, then this would be THE game for you. The deep is incredibly deep as well and by the sounds of it the home version is coming with a lot of content (30 hour single player).

I'm pretty sure the only people who will really look into BlazBlue are the fighting game enthusiasts (or Guilty Gear fans)since its not mainstream like SFIV nor has the former received as much hype or media coverage as the latter. I doubt those who casually play fighters even really know about BlazBlue or KOFXII. The majority of my non-fighter friends didn't know about KOFXII or BlazBlue even though they were fully aware of SFIV.

I saw that one coming.
I ordered my copy online at Gamestop so I could nab that awesome artbook and I even changed my shipping to next day because I want to play this ASAP. I can't to actually learn how to use Noel properly.

Did anyone else play Sengoku Basara X, The last game the team did? It didn't get great scores but I liked it.
I'm sad to see in the IGN review that there is no mission mode, but still sounds awesome.

I've played it. I really enjoyed Basara X a lot actually. I enjoyed it even more than the Guilty Gear XX games.

I'd buy the PS3 version in a second if I had the TE on it. Sadly, I have the 360's TE stick.

At best I've heard PAL version is Q4 2009... at worst because there is no publisher yet... maybe 2010/never. KOF12 is set in stone as late August and Tekken 6 will most likely be Nov/Dec so there are a few fighters on the horizon. I caved though and ended up ordering a HRAP3 with BlazBlue and might look to swap one of my 360 TE's for a ps3 one and make ps3 my fighter console of choice, time will tell. The thing that makes this game for me though is the 4 player lobbies, should make online much more enjoyable because the 2p lobbies in SF4 really killed it for me.
Leon, I don't know if you have any electrical experience but there is a mod for the TE called Cthulu which inserts another board and can potentially allow a 360 TE to play 360/PS3/PS2/PS1/GCN/WII. Hrmm ok. That's bad then.
I might just have to bite the bullet and import the PS3 version I think and go it with the PS3 controller.
I read today Tekken 6 is slated as late December (28th I think). Which is really bad. We better get KOF in good time.
*sigh* Oh how I hate the PAL gaming world sometimes.
EDIT - Screw it, I'm getting the PS3 version.*shakes fist* Just pre-ordered it from cd-wow.

Don't worry about Tekken 6 guys, it's being release Oct 27th Worldwide, that's what the chick told me at EB Games. If it DOES get released during December, then I guess I'll just use the PSP version to tide me over. About BlazBlue, definitely getting this.

Yeah I wouldn't take anything an EB employee says as the bible because they don't know anything.
Almost all online sites are listing this as the 28th of December and Flea kind of confirmed it.
I hope you are right though, I am hate to think we have to wait so long if everybody else gets this in October .I don't even know why this game took so long to be ported to the consoles.

Yeah I'd be real disappointed if it gets released during December. Reason why it took so long to be released is because;
-Tekken 6 Vanilla had far too many broken aspects, there were death combos, rage damage output was too high, some characters were simply far too good (Bob), the wall game was insane, etc. As soon as they finished T6 they started work on T6BR, which included a new graphics engine, motion blur, two new characters, heaps of new customs, balanced gameplay, etc. They released this one year after T6 was in the market. After they completed T6BR they started working on the console version. I guess since they need time if they want to include 40+ FMV Endings, New Modes, Revamped Online, Scenario Campaign, better graphics, etc etc. One last thing, reason why they don't release the console version side-by-side with the arcade version is because they want the arcade operators to make a profit and to revive the arcade scene, since they screwed this up with T5.0 when they released the game mere months after it came onto arcades.
Is there a Demo on PSN for BlazBlue?

US copies of BlazBlue apparently shipped to stores today according to the website, but the copy I ordered online has yet to be shipped. I'm going to call Gamestops periodically tomorrow to see if they indeed got their copies of BlazBlue.

I played this quite a bit when I was in Japan, I dunno if I enjoy it more but I certainly enjoyed it. I would say it's different.
I really liked the animation and character designs - with SF4 dominating 2D fighting style it's refreshing to have something different to play.
Can't wait for my copy to arrive, also looking forward to KOF12 as well.
