Ah, interesting. I've never actually seen or heard of a transparent sanwa button before. Do you have any pictures?

thought you guys would find this interesting.

These are the HORI sticks that are coming with the Tekken 6 Collector's Edition in the US. RRP $149.99 USD.

Personally they look pretty cool, and more substantial than the EX Fighting Sticks, although they still suffer from having the Start and Select/Back buttons in the top right corner stick where they could be pressed accidentally during a frantic battle.

Something else interesting is that they are Wireless. Wonder why they decided to go wireless or if it's misinformation on Gamestop's behalf. Not sure what kind of parts it would use, but I'd think it would be Sanwa JLF with Hori buttons.

It would be cool if those packs came to Australia. icon_smile.gif

Thats a really cool looking stick.

Even though if they do make it to Australia it would be around same price mark as Te sticks, it would be good if we could pre-order from any US website since dollar so strong would get a bargain.

I think the artwork looks nicer than what the TE has...just the large letters for what the buttons do are ugly. They stick out -___- I bet the stick itself is just a FS3/EX with the parts of a HRAP3/EX2 minus the good fancy features(turbo,Stick function switch,L3 and R3 buttons....though the last aren't really usable)

Although i'm not that into Tekken, i will pick this up if I can find a reliable online site other than gamestop(credit card verification = Fail)....just for a 2nd stick(TE should be coming in this week.....after 7 or so months, i will finally have mine icon_annoyed.gif)....not that there's anything wrong with Tekken icon_wink.gif . It's just a good value bundle for a CE(bar shipping costs icon_annoyed.gif)

Has anyone seen a good place to buy an Xbox 360 FightPad at the moment? Play Asia only have the Blanka one in stock and I'd much prefer another fighter (Ken/Ryu/Akuma in that order). I heard they were going to do MvC2 ones but I would love to grab one right away as I haven't given SF4 much of a chance yet!

can someone give me advice on which one to get?

At the moment looking at getting the sf4 tourney stick through work and will be looking at around $240 ish.

OR

should i wait till closer to october to see what everyone says about the wireless hori stick.

Id much rather put the cash towards the awesome t6 bundle with the fight stick, but not if the fight stick is rubbish. Also worried that we're going to get the short end of the straw and not even get the CE. Or if we do its a game with a little 5cm figure that looks like arse. ala the sf4 ce figures and the re 5 figure.

Sure, but you'll still need to make your own mind up. I see that as a choice between:

A) A SF4 TE stick which is known to be excellent quality and (somewhat) available now.

B) A Tekken stick which may or may not be better than the SF4 TE and may or may not be possible to get hold of.

In my mind A is clearly preferable but then the Tekken bundle doesn't hold any real value to me as I don't really want the book and I don't need another stick.

i would get the TE since we already know that its a high end product with quality parts and is pretty much better than any hori stick out at the moment. i also highly doubt this stick will be better than the TE, i mean, the only plus i can see so far is that its wireless, which some people would argue is a negative. its also much smaller in size which i dont like.

SF TE stick was the best of the best. And you pay for it. The TE alone is the same price as the Tekken 6 bundle.

But I think it will be good quality though, just not top tier. Hrm maybe I should get Tekken 6 on the PS3 and get the stick bundle to cover fighting games on both consoles....

My SF4 TE stick finally arrived from JB online!

I have to say it's very solid and impressively constructed. The feather light buttons are going to take some getting used to after playing on a 6 button pad though. I keep triggering them while just resting my fingers, or pressing something else. More practice required I guess. =)

Finally got around to paying for my TE stick this arvo through work. Its been sitting in the managers office for around 3-4 weeks now..now its mine. icon_biggrin.gif

This thing reeks of class. Everything from the weight, to the presentation to the little certificate on the inside. Problem is, I dont even want to open it. The other guy I work with in the gaming section at work purchased his stick the second it got offloaded from the delivery truck, and he took it out right there and then. He regretted it.

For those wondering, Harvey Norman (the store I work at, at least) can't sell the TE to the general public. Special order from the supplier or something along those lines. However, my store now stocks Fs3's for something like $120. May or may not be overpriced.

Also with the new T6 bundle talk thats been going around, does anyone know what model that stick is? The preview pic on JB looks a lot like a TE stick but with a t6 skin. If it really is wireless, that's a pretty good price for what you get.

Last question, where can I get custom decals for the Sf TE stick?

The Tekken 6 Stick is just a FightStick 3 remodeled, and yes, it IS a wireless stick. Still good for the price you're getting it for, and the artwork on it as well.

Has anyone noticed that the 360 T6 stick has weird button ordering?

A,B and X are in the same spots as the X, SQ and O... but Y is where the left trigger should be. Its not organised properly. Typo?

Not a typo. It's how it's designed. The buttons are programmable anyway so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. But you're getting the PS3 Bundle aren't you?

I saw this today. I heard its same model as the mayflash stick and those break down easily. Hopefully, they're easy to mod. Also, ugh horrendous shipping costs...

JB got them at 269, and saw it in store as well. Not bad for those who're looking for alternative to TE, considering all the extras with this.

Already posted in the Tekken 6 Thread, but thanks anyway. Looks like I'll need to cancel my EB Games pre-order then...

Are you sure you aren't just holding them down? I have that problem when I first got the TE stick. I thought my RT button was busted, but it was because I kept trying to hit it when I had it slightly held (like ever so slightly) down.

The best place to start is where ever you bought it from.
Next stop is Mad Catz's Australian distributor (if there is one, I don't know).
Last stop would be the Mad Catz USA arm.
