... available for XBLA next week. Sorry if this has already been posted, but this excellent news for anybody who hasn't gone out and picked up the game yet. I must admit, I have never played the games... but after this announcement, I'll be certain to go and grab Hit the Road, and buy this.
| Quote: | Sweet swirling red rings of Saturn on a playdate with the junior varsity men’s cheerleading squad, the Freelance Police are about to be on your Xbox 360! Telltale Games has announced that the dog and rabbity-thing crime-fighting team’s episodic adventures will launch on XBLA on June 17, 2009 with Sam & Max Save the World, a bundle of six award-winning comedy games.
Sam & Max Save the World, which was known as Sam & Max Season One for previous releases, has been enhanced for Xbox Live Arcade with achievements, widescreen and HD graphic support, and updates to the gameplay controls. The game is in English with subtitles in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. The Xbox Live Arcade download will sell for 1600 Microsoft points, or less than 300 points per episode if you wanna look at it that way.

Yes, please do go and get it. You will then realised why I love Max so bloody much (see my avatar and sig, see see ).
Man, now I want it on the 360 even when I got it on the PC (but PC isn't powerful enough to play it, so it was a laggy experience for me, but I was so hardcore I still finished the first season) _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

I'll definitely be picking this up. 1600 for all 6 episodes is a bargain. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

Is it a point-and-click game similar to Wallace & Gromit? If so I may pick it up, I really liked W&G. _________________

Way too late but yes it's the same as W&G.
Just after the general consensus for this game on the 360. Worth getting?
*Are there drops in framerate and are they frequent?
*Does the point-and-click method work on the 360? eg, is it hard to focus the cursor on certain items in order to select them?
*Also heard the game lags/freezes a bit after items are selected, is this true?
*Total playthrough length for all 6 eps?
Just a bit hesitant as it's quite expensive for an XBLA title. (never paid more than 800 points for a game)

Point and click feels fine on 360, I've not had any problems. It's different to the W+G method though which I found quite annoying personally (especially seeing as they got that style of point and click down pat with Grim Fandango).
I'm enjoying it though, not sure about the end play length but it probably took me around 3 hours to complete Ep 1 (I'm not really fast at p+c though), so if they're all that long then you've got a fairly decent play time. Even if each ep takes 2 hours, that's still 12 hours for a 25 dollar game, can't really say the same for brand new titles a lot of the time.

I think after you give the cheese to the mouse, you have to convince him to hand something over. _________________

Wow, this is SOOO much better then the Wii version. I got that initally and thought it would be a match made in heavan (wiimote). Alas, the slowdown was SO bad and presentation ugly as sin. The 360 (and PC I'm sure is the best though) is great and is much MUCH nicer on the eyes and the presentation is MUCH cleaner.
Pretty fun game, I'm realling enjoying it thus far. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I've finished it all now, I'll probably go back to it after a few months after I've forgotten most of it... it'll be like playing again.
