I know a few people afraid of them, but only because of the misconception that a bite can cause necrosis. It used to be believed that a white tail's bite would cause necrosis, but it's been proven that it doesn't.

Yeah I know but the bites would still hurt.

Its just that I always run into them in the house. I dont get the house sprayed no more because I have a young child and the wife is pregnant so I am finding that I am seeing more of them.

I'm afraid of spiders too. Like, extremely afraid. I am so scared of one dropping down in front of me while I'm driving too. I suspect I'd crash.

*shudders*

A second fear is a bit more personal - I'm scared of my partner getting bored of me. I know how stupid it is and sounds, but I can't help it. She thinks its stupid too.

I've had many near-death experiences and y'know what? I was not phased at all. It was like I wanted to see it play out icon_confused.gif... except drowning. I've nearly drowned and it is absolutely horrible. I fear the water, I can barely swim and I live next the beach!

Got a few...

As mentioned above, I have a huge fear of needles.

Can't stand snakes and spiders, both of which I see on a regular basis here in Shikoku.

Aaand... static electricity. I just can't handle it. When we were doing high school science and using a Van Der Graaf generator, I was out of that room faster than a speeding bullet.

Those would be the main ones I guess.

I understand that one, I sometimes have nightmares to that effect actually icon_confused.gif

I'm also pretty scared of the beach, I've nearly drowned and so have some of my close family a few times. I refuse to swim in the beach anymore, but I never seem to have problems with swimming in a pool.

Spiders (or even insects in general; don't trust 'em)
Needles, although I'm not 'scared' of them, per se, tend to make me almost pass out.
And one more phobia I never tell anyone about because it's easily exploitable (especially over the internet).

- Mice/Rats. To me, these guys are evil. They hide in your walls & roof, mucking about, destroying things. They can squeeze through insanely tight gaps. They're terribly quick. And they just look shady.

- Next up is spiders. These guys, well not much can be said about these guys. They're the devil's greatest crony in my opinion. I have no time for them.

- People who capture spiders, only to release them back outside. I fear for these poor delusional souls. The spiders are only gonna come in again.

- Kangaroos. These guys are nice at the animal park, but I've seen the footage. Kick your intestines right outta ya back! And then box your head till it falls off. Fast. Nobody, not even Jackie Chan, could beat a kangaroo I bet.

- Cows. I have a fear that I'm going to hit a cow when driving. Have you ever seen a car after it has hit a cow? No you haven't because there's no goddamn car left! The cow has completely obliterated it.

- Snakes. No brainer. Hissin' and wrigglin' around like they own the place.

- On the Jeans thing, zipping up your Johnson. I've come close a few times and believe me, that is the most frightening thing in the world. Apart from dying etc.

- Dying.

- The dark.

I get scared I will choke on my food. Gets annoying as sometimes it hinders my eating, and seeing that I'm a slow eater...I take up to nearly an hour sometimes =[

I also fear that even if my head goes slightly underwater, I will drown. The water only has to be 1cm out of reach for me to think this icon_razz.gif

EDIT: And also to add to this, upside-down rides at the theme park. I always fear that I will fall out or the machine will derail or something epicly disastrous =p

I have never been able to convince anybody of this, everybody is so sold on the myth, despite there never having been any reliable evidence to support it. Oh well.

Anyway, caught me the biggest white tail I ever did see tonight, trapped it under an overturned measuring jug I did. They sure are aggressive, I'll give them that. Used to be real afraid of spiders, you see, until I moved into a house overrun by them, yes sir. Well, I ain't afraid of no spiders any longer, that there immersion therapy saw to that.

Still killed the white tail, though.

Fires, particularly electrical fires. never had to deal with one but I sure never want to.

I just hate the all-consuming nature of fire.

That's happened to me actually. My cousin and sister decided to bury me up to my neck at the beach and a massive wave went over me. Longest I've ever held my breath.

WHY THE **** WOULD YOU PUT A PICTURE OF A SPIDER IN A FEARS THREAD!

*goes and huddles in the corner*

Suffice to say, I'm scared of spiders big time, I can't even stand daddy long legs, it's just the freakish way they move around.

Oh, and thank you so much Matteh, I'm now scared of ripping my toenails off (I've fallen off a bike in thongs a few times and I've torn off half of both pinky toenails so they have a sharp bit and tend to get caught on a hell of a lot of stuff, socks, pants, carpet, etc. Never really considered any of this would actually remove my nail but thankfully now I ******* have, looks like I'm going to be putting a pair of socks on and NEVER TAKING THEM OFF EVER AGAIN.

Spiders.

I have a legitimate excuse. I come from England, there are no dangerous spiders there, suddenly I move to Australia and I see a spider bigger then my hand.

Fuck that.

If it makes you feel any better we have what is considered by many to be the deadliest spider in the World, it's in Sydney though so I don't have to worry about it.
