So us Aussies will be paying around $50 for AC and $100 for Bioshock? Not worth it, and then you have to download 5 gigs+ and probably want a 120 gig HDD.

Any bets it won't come out here? Anyone? If it does, and it follows RRP (which only like EB and Game follow), it'll be a ripoff. Ah well. Good way to pick up old games that you can't find anymore I guess...

I guess some people must want this, but Id think most people would want the physical box for their collection, not to mention storage space and bandwidth usage.
Would have to be a lot cheaper to be worth it.
Still i guess they will get a lot of "impulse" buyers with this. _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

Well if nothing else it means the games would be installed with no need for a disc. I don't think it'll take off overly well at the moment (anywhere in the world) but it's a great thing to start now so by the time the next Xbox comes out it may be a viable and large feature. And hey, even if I never use it the more feature the better! _________________

360s HDD just ins't big enough. Most people don't have the connection speed either. Also, expect to pay fall price on all transactions always. I doubt you will regular sales to match retail stores.

I'm not paying full price for a game if I don't get it in the box, I'm factoring in box costs, manual costs, shipping costs, in the price of my game. If you (Microsoft/developers) aren't paying for this **** then neither am I.

I dunno about you but Xbox Live is unmetered for me. However if this comes through I can't see that staying for much longer

I only see it happening here if (a) it becomes unmetered and (b) prices are much lower.
Furthermore, many games (such as Halo 3) run far better off disk than on the HDD (due to data streaming).
I like MS's direction here, but I think that, for Australia at least, it's far too early for this kind of service.

Yeah cant see this taking off in aus, where internet costs are stupidly high. Having said that, this is a huge bonus for those with IInets unmetered content, and of course anyone with a larget xbox hard drive. _________________ It doesnt hurt once the pain goes away.

halo 3 actually runs slower off the hdd. im surprised you cant tell.
as for memory, an update to use NTFS formatted external hdd is likely. though that would kill their crappy branded hdds. so who knows what they'll do. _________________ Buy Left 4 Dead 2 (Uncut X360) at Play-Asia.com

Not to mention that if MS's support for the original XBox is anything to go by when they release the next console they'll probably stop the service and you'll never be able to download it again.
