WTF? I got this add from IGN:
???? I would have guessed it was an April Fools thing if IGN didn't risk being sued by them (and the website is legit).
What were they made with before if it wasn't white meat????

Fluffy pink rabbits? That advert looks pretty authentic. IGN wouldn't risk putting something up that could lead to legal action, and it's a bit too early for April fools day.
Very disturbing.

Last time I heard, McNuggets were made from chicken skin....
I guess now they're actually using chicken meat they pick up off the floor. _________________

Well it's one step closer to being legal!
That is the funniest thing I've seen in quite a while. _________________

Sure, they're made with chicken, but what part of the chicken?
My bet is bones, gristle, intestines, colon and 1% chicken breast meat. _________________ Retro Gaming Australia

I am loving it.
Ailing vomit.
Now there's something to think about.
There's dark and light meat in chickens, the dark meat is from places like their back. Basically it's all the scraps, since they are now using white meat, it means one of two things: one they are using meat from the breast/wings/legs or they are dying the dark meat white.
Personally I had to wonder what they were making them out of, I'm sure over here that's all they have ever used. But I haven't been to Mc Donald's in years.

This might shed some light on the subject.
from today tonight (australian news show thingy)
| Quote: | Nuggets can be made using whole, formed or manufactured chicken.
Whole nuggets use a complete portion of chicken, formed chicken is small pieces of chicken meat forced together with binders and marinades.
Manufactured chicked is the most common and this uses meat from any part of the chicken, it is pulverised and then compressed into shape. |
| Quote: | A study done two years ago by Choice magazine looked at the contents of the most popular nuggets on the market in terms of their chicken content, and how they were made.
Most of the nuggets tested in the top five had a filling of around 65 per cent and were made from manufactured chicken. McDonalds were the only company in the top five to use formed chicken.
The lowest content of chicken was found in Steggles and Black and Gold nuggets with less than 50 per cent of actual chicken filling found in the nuggets. |
| Quote: | "It doesn't necessarily follow that all the filling is meat," said Claire Hughes.
"It can be skin, it can be connective tissue, it can be nerves, it's not the type of chicken we'd be using when cooking at home," she added. |

Agree with stoney and slash, every food company has this whole issue.. especially those connected to the fast food industry. I know what happens with left-over food because I slaved in a butchery when I was 12-14 for a few pocket monies. Once you witness first-hand where the meat for sausages comes from you tend not to eat them anymore
