This is pretty much entirley dependent on the server your on. Got up to 70 eggs on Drak'tharon just running around and having fun cause there wernt many people on, got on to jubei and there was someone camping every single spawn point in the damm town. _________________

Okay, slight bump. Didn't want to create a new thread.
What are the requirements for this game? What internet speed do you recommend?
Also, can I use the 10 day trial on the website now and the 14 day trial in a few weeks time?
Please help me. _________________

You can only have one trial per account. When you buy the game you get 30 free days that you can use without buying a new game card. The requirements are VERY low. I know you need 512 megs ram, a 32 mb graphics card and not sure about the Windows processor, was about 1.2 ghz for the Mac.

To run it smoothly you will need
GeForce 8600 GT with 512 MB Video Card
Core2Duo 2.66Ghz CPU
2 gigs of ram
From my experience. _________________

I have:
ATI Radeon 2400 HD
2 gigs ram
2.4 ghz core 2 duo
I run it nearly maxed with a resolution of 1280x1090 or whatever it is, it runs pretty good, but lags sometimes when a lot is happening.

Thanks a lot Sambo and Segax.
I don't have the most souped up computer in the world, so I can only play some of the older games.
It's annoying that I can only use on trial, I've got a 14 day trial off the Starcraft game. I suppose I'll just have to create another account when the time comes.
Thanks again. _________________

Why do you want to use two trials though? You can very easily get to the level cap in the trial, and they lock a lot of things in the trials.

It's free! Might as well make some use of it.
I'm pretty sure I can continue on with the game though without downloading anything new if I like it.
I'm not sure if I'll even like the game yet. _________________

But you would probably get up to level 20 in your first trial, and with all the crappy restrictions, why do it again on a different account? May as well buy WoW cheap for the 30 days and no restrictions.

So what server do you guys recommend? Is there an official Australian PALGN guild/server choice?
Just dug the CDs of the base game/Burning Crusade today and bought Wrath of the Lich King finally, so I can max out a new character (old acct would be long gone I'm thinking as it was about 2 yrs ago I last played) and get to know the worlds before the Cataclysm.

Blackrock. The old unofficial Aussie server back in vanilla, its a great server today as there are people from US and Australia 24/7 online. There is a noticable peak and off peak time for the server still, however not as noticable as normal oceanic servers.
I play on Blackrock now, mainly because its the centre of all the top Pvp'ers in that battlegroup, and has the number 1 guild of gladiators which has members who participate in MLG contests.
I sort of haven't been playing and have returned to "proper" gaming but I'm keeping my account in case I feel the need to play again. _________________ xfire = andylulz

For the love of god, don't go to Thaurissan. Aussie PvP server with seomthing like a ridiculous 20-1 outnumbering of the factions.
If you're horde, prepare to not to be able to do anything outside of a safe zone.
If you roll allie be prepared to be bombarded in chat by people claiming how leet they are by steamrolloering a single horde in OL by 30 allie.

I thought the Thaurissan balance probs was the other way round, with the horde out numbering the ally by something stupid.
most of the oceanic servers are fine except gundrak
as far as i know though we don't have a palgn guild on any of the servers _________________

What guild did you used to raid with? I was doing a fair bit of raiding when Ulduar came out myself on Nagrand, horde side. We weren't crazy hardcore but we were like the 3/4th horde guild to clear Ulduar. Then I got bored and quit lol.

I recently have stopped playing WoW myself, and I think the main reason for a lot of player departures was the introduction of the Crusader's Arena in Icecrown. While it was all great, the fact that the 5-man wing almost removed the existing heroic dungeons and Naxx as a source for gear really struck a chord.
Obviously, I understood the benefits from an alt-character's point of view, but when your guild decides that the best course of action is to farm the one dungeon for most of the loot, it just became stale all too quickly.
And did anyone feel like the Colosseum removed Ulduar somewhat early as well? I'm not sure myself, but a lot of smaller guilds tried to skip Ulduar, and ending up grinding their progression to a halt. This was on Caelestrasz sorry.
I'll hopefully drop back in next year to see how the last couple of patches have turned out, but I am really looking forward to Cataclysm, and actually start enjoying the leveling once again. _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

^Yes somewhat of the reason I left too.
The game is just too easy and too casual now, I mean, thats good in a way but it is also decimating to the enjoyment of countless people who find the slow build up in getting gear ultimately more rewarding than instant gratification.
This is progression. Progression was fun, I miss the days of vanilla and even BC where your head would literally explode from all the screams of triumph in ventrilo, nowadays all you get is a simple "woot" or a "good job" while the loot pinata goodies are handed out.
You can pretty much skip progression completely just doing 5 mans, getting badges and doing 5 mans that are the equivalent or better than the 25 man raids prior to its opening. While this is good in a way, and I see that it caters for more newer players, and those who have less time, also it is good for gearing up alts really fast - this, and a number of other things has taken away the magic WoW once had, its now just an empty shell of what it use to be. _________________ xfire = andylulz

They made it so that everyone can be prepared to take on the Lich King. I did Ulduar for my first time a couple of weeks ago, for fun. And plus it gives you more chances to get gear. But 3.3 is the last major patch right? And Cataclysm will be out in around a year? Sounds like it will get boring a couple of months after 3.3 comes out.

Everything I want to say right there. I see the benefits for sure, and yes I agree it's so everyone can see the Lich King as well, unlike the previous xpac final raid bosses, but the drive to play for my gear fix is certainly gone.
The biggest problem I have is that the gear doesn't last any more. Going through 3 tiers (4 if you include 80 dungeons) of gear in a couple of weeks? Absolutely rubbish. I get more excited getting a rare pet than a piece of tier gear now.
And the fights to get the gear are incredibly easy... But the moment you want to step up to hard mode, the majority-new player guilds get all whiny because it's too hard... What is fun about getting gear easy? Don't you want a challenge? Sigh... I guess it just goes to show how much the game mechanics and player base has changed. _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

i wasn't enjoying the game for the same reasons... all the fights were too easy and the gear came to easy. but i went out and got myself a guild that focus's on the hardmodes and now the game is more enoyable now as it is actually challenging again
i never raided to get gear, it was a bonus but i enjoyed clearing content. replacing gear all the time isn't a problem for me but weather the fights are challenging is what is important _________________
