the strange thing is, there's quite a few rumours floating around that Fox will sacrifice Dollhouse to extend the life of PrisonBreak.

I'm a fan of Prison Break but really they need to end the show at the end of this season as it cant keep going on like this. Can't wait for the episode on Saturday though.

this might contain some season 2 prison break spoilers and whatever, probably not a big deal but i'll warn you anyway:

ok, my 2 favourite shows are Oz and Arrested Development (there's a few other great ones but i won't go into those for the purpose of this discussion)

because i've seen all of Oz and had only seen Prison Break to sort of fill my prison drama quota, I have only bought season 2 and 3 once i could get them cheap 2nd hand at cash converters after losing interest once they left the original prison. I didn't find it too bad but even still, season 1 was not as good as Oz, a few of the same sort of characters were there, but were rather watered down and all that.

I am maybe a disc into season 3 and rather like it again, they're back in a prison and its more crazy and Oz-like i suppose.

too bad its ending, its demise is probably related to ratings rather than quality (the same with arrested development which in concept was doomed ratingswise since it is the kind of show that requires a lot of attention to be fully enjoyed (with the millions of in jokes and long multi episode set ups to jokes and whatnot)

but then again, a lot of people think prison break should have ended with season 1, but the way the story was told, it made sense for it to keep going since a lot of stuff that happens in season 2 is lead up to in season 1 (eg. the old guy has treasure hidden that they will eventually want o find)

2 episodes have been aired today in the US. S04E21 & S04E22

Then there will be 2 :other: episodes released straight to DVD in the US.

These episodes will however be aired in the UK within the next 2 weeks.

This direct-to-DVD episode consists of the two episodes from season four ('The Old Ball and Chain' and 'Free') that were not aired in American TV. The Final Break continues from the season four series finale and will serve to wrap up "loose ends". It is scheduled for Blu-ray and DVD release on July 21, 2009. The episodes will be exclusively broadcast on Sky1 in the UK and yes stars Action in Israel

In The Final Break, someone goes to prison again. Epic lulz! Well, maybe the jokes on me for still spending my time and bandwidth on the show. One thing though, Michael never gets killed off good and proper. We don't see a body, and that headstone we see in the finale obviously doesn't mark his final resting place, as if he is dead, no government body would give the remains of someone who aided in the escape of a criminal to that criminal whom had shot through. I'm not saying Prison Break isn't done, just that they're leaving themselves an avenue to bring the show and the protagonist back if they choose.

I'm not saying don't watch these episodes, they have a car crash quality to them, thats sorta where the shows at now.

There is no chance Prison Break will come back, the show is done with. That being said I thought "The Final Break" was a fitting ending to the series and easily surpassed any episode of season 4 in terms of quality and getting back to the original PB roots.
