this is good news as far as i am concerned, i was a huge fan of this series in high school, but thought MK4 sucked... i skipped deadly alliance for a long time since i didn't think it'd be good, but i bought it when it was $15 at Kmart figuring it'd be a weekends worth of laughing, but i actually think it is pretty good, funnily, i think it's the cartoony-ness of some of the fatalities that spoil it...
and the fat bastard... he's shit...

I figured they'd do something online, i mean its the perfect oppurtunity. I have to say that the chess idea sounds awful, but the puzzle fighter thing sounds good. There are too many games at the moment doing this "Growing up" thing, THUG, Def Jam Vendetta, NBA Street to mention a few, and eeven though its a good method of story, its getting old but its still a good mode i guess. I think i'll buy this game, but not at the full price!

Nothing will beat MK1 or MK2
MK3 was ok and the MK Trilogy was pretty good but from there on I have found them really bad.
I hope this will end up good.
