Yep. As far as I know (haven't imported one myself) they're the exact same region and work the exact same way. _________________

Correct
Some of the games at work, for the Wii, have the Australian cover art on the box, but the disc itself has uk age ratings (Like the Australian PG, MA15+, etc). I suspect they just send them from the Uk, & when the console boots up, it reads a different menu if needed from the coding, based on the console's region settings. _________________ <iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/Ministry%20Se7en.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204">Put your gamertag here too.</iframe>

Does anyone know if the Nyko Wii controller charger, from the USA would work here?
I just need something thats good quality that'll charge my wii remotes, instead of having to use batteries at the time. Thanks _________________

Hi tyb1987,
Try these websites for help.
link 1
link 2
link 3
But those errors can be buggers to fix, so I'd suggest you get a wired connection for breezy online Wii'ing. _________________

Thought better to ask here than cook up a new thread. My question is as follows.
Q. I recently purchased Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (for Wii obviously) and at a certain part in the opening level, to progress requires you to execute a Force Push, which needs you to thrust the nunchuck forward. When I attempt to do this it doesn't register. I've spent a long time trying to do this particular move and it just doesn't work. At other times, the game will continuously use the Force Push move, with no movement from the nunchuck.
Now, I've tested other games that use the nunchuck, and Wii boxing is barely registering the nunchuck's movement, though the buttons and thumb stick work fine. So I'm pretty sure the nunchuck is defective, and that I'll have to buy a new one, but just asking, has anyone else had similar issues?
(Wow, that was an overly long way to go about the question huh? Sorry) _________________

I've had similar problems with the Wii-mote itself, after i dropped it during a game, it just stopped registering movements. Fortunately it seemed to fix itself. I don't know for sure but it might be that the gyroscope in the nunchuk is a bit more fragile.
You'll most likely have to replace it, but at least its not an $80 peripheral?
Ninty might replace it I guess. Is it very old?
(plussed for using this thread. It's not bumping if its a stickied thred. ) _________________

^ I'm fairly sure it'll come back with the latest firmware.
http://gonintendo.com/?p=46613
Older article, but if Ninty updated firmware for repairs back in June 2008, I'm sure they'd still be doing it.
It makes sense (to me at least) that to repair it they'd need to have it up to date.
Hope this is helpful, even though its an older article. _________________

Nope, you can't gift games you own. Only gift the points to buy that game. _________________

Hi, there
Recently my Wii has been crashing on me .. ALOT. It started about a week ago after purchasing a copy of Zelda : Twilight Princess. It would crash on occasion, and the only way to reset is to force shut down.
However since then, things have gotten worse, now the Wii crashes even in the setup menu on the Wii home screen. I've tried deleting my saves, factory resets, entering the Wii in maintenance mode but it still seems to freeze.
Has anyone else experience this, or have any idea what is wrong? Its been over 2 years (thus out of warranty), in pristine condition, not even moderately used.. and has not been moved...

I experienced this about two months ago, but it just seemed to fix itself after a couple of hours. Never had the problem since. _________________

(This is more of a DSi question) Q. Is there a way to export your wireless settings from your wii to your DS Lite/DSi? My wii can connect to my wireless network, but not my DSi when i have the wep security turned on. I know you can send wirless setting from ds to ds but can it be done with wii?

Is it safe to install firmware from PAL UK games disks on an Australian Wii.

Sorry if this has been asked before. Is it possible to save games from VC or WiiWare onto a memory card and then use the card to play them on a friend's Wii?

Nope, unfortunately the games are locked to your console. _________________

Yes. There is no difference in the code, just different classification symbols on the packaging and disc.
...
My question: I want to turn off my wireless LAN for better security. Currently my Wii is the only device that needs wireless. I was thinking of getting the Wii Lan Adapter for $10. I think it may not be a genuine one since it is so cheap, but should it matter?
I'm worried a non-genuine Wii Lan Adapter may open up my local network to hackers.

I cant answer your question about the adapter, but if you're using decent security for your WiFi network you shouldnt be getting hackers anyway. Dont use WEP, use WPA. _________________

I just booted up the console for the first time in over a year, and the nunchuck is acting up, it's as if it's interfering with the remote. When they're connected, only the sensor controls are being picked up, and I can't use any of the buttons unless the nunchuck is disconnected. It's a bit awkward when the nunchuck is essential for movement...any ideas? _________________

Have you tried resynching your remotes to your Wii? As in deleting all the saved syncs attached to your Wii and then registering your remotes again.
I think its a full 15 second button hold on the Sync button on the actual Wii device to clear all syncs.

Unfortunately no Matth3w. You download it, it is forever stuck in that one console. The DRM is stuck with the console rather that an account (unlike XBL or PSN downloads).
I think Nintendo can transfer the downloaded games to a new console if the original one dies. Not 100% sure though. _________________
