How come you're looking to swap your 360 stick for a PS3 stick? |
Cause he has one more "g" than you.

Do we get arcade sticks which can be programmed to do moves. Example: Shoryuken by pressing just one button or doing Ultra combo by press of button. I read it somewhere dunno how far its true. What stick that would be??

Got my TE from retroarcade.com.au with no preorder and recieved it within two days. The TE is truly a thing of beauty. I keep it on my desk so when the woes of studying for a for an endless stream of tests and assignments I can lovingly caress the buttons and listen to the sweet sounds of the microswitches activating when I move the stick around.
I'm going to look at the box again. _________________

A question to those who have their TE sticks, how does it play on games other than SF4? I'm interested to see how it is with some other fights (DOA4).

@egggy - I don't think anyone will be wanting to trade a PS3 TE for a 360 one since the PS3 ones are in much higher demand. Might as well open it up and have a crack at it.
@Cyph - I have DOA4 but I haven't touched it for ages. I'll check it out tonight but it should be fine. 3D fighters tend to be pretty playable with a pad so the jump in ease of use won't be as big as say SF4. _________________

How is the game, I know its releasing in June but has anyone played it on arcade or played it before. Is it worth it? I am regretting for not having any of the SF4 sticks dont want to make that same mistake again. Any advice or suggestion please.

It's amazing how MUCH the game opens up with the stick. Using a controller (for a 6 button fighter) is just impossible. The EX/Cancels really come into their own. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Well, my sticks arrived Monday morning. Yay! Unfortunately, I'm in America for 2 weeks on work duties. Boo! My brother is now lucky enough to skill himself up for my return. Oh, the good old DC days of 2D fight nights will be re-ignited! So, here are some photos!

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6761059&l=da8e483b1d&id=787290503

Also, this is what my brother emailed me, his initial impressions:
"I've just opened them up, the packaging is awesome and you can get them out easily without doing any damage to the box.
Tested them out, all working fine, including the turbo button.
The plastic on top does get marked fairly easily, and there is some slight scratching on a couple of spots if you look at certain angles (could use some plastic polish hehe) but thats no big deal.
Ok before using them I was a little worried they would be really hard to get used to because the stick is quite loose, but after trying them thats probably a good thing for all the circular SF motions. Maybe the fact I never really played with the controller is a good thing because although I mess up the occasional move, by in large I'm pulling off fireballs and dragon punches pretty easily. I don't know what people are on about when they say they have trouble pulling off even fireballs with them?!? It will take a bit of time to get used to the button positions and so on, but I'm sure that will come with time.
I have to say they seem awesome, and its more enjoyable and easier on the hands etc than using the control pad. "

Yes, I had to relearn everything. I never really used arcade sticks in the past, mostly using fighters on consoles with d-pads. It does take a while to readjust to the whole stick movement. While the buttons do take a lot of getting used to, they are far far far superior. Doing combos is so much more fluid and logical now. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Well, I've decided to abstain from alcohol completely this weekend, so I can get this bloody joystick made that I've been putting off for the last two months. About to finally start searching some forums for some wiring diagrams, I've heard that the Shoryuken forums is the only place worth visiting, can anybody shed some light on this.
And to those who own the TE fighsticks, can anybody fault them in any particular areas? Eg. Are they too light/heavy? Does it easily slip out from underneath you when playing? And, is the exterior pretty much made entirely out of plastic?
Also, do many people think there is still a heavy market for this sort of stuff? Will the TE sticks still be in production after the June shipment? I have about 5 spare controllers altogether, and if I'm happy with the way my stick turns out, I may indeed make some more and try and sell some on Ebay.
I Would be buying Sanwa joysticks and buttons in bulk. I guess it will only be worth it if I can keep the cost much lower than the TE sticks (even though I'll be using the same components) and if the final cost is worth the time I've invested in making it. Would also be using the Xbox guide button showing at the top of the panel, and the stick will (hopefully) still have rumble function, as I'm using a gutted controller.

Goodluck. Make some for PS3 as well. Add combo feature and put more then 10 buttons . Try to make it heavier then better. Use similar design of TE stick eg start n select button onfront side, small cabinet to keep wire. U can add retractible wire feature like vaccum cleaners. U electrical engineer by profession, u gonna make ur own PCBs have u made drafts of the arcade stick?

How come there is such a huge price difference between the white HRAP3 and the black one?

I think its limited edition or may special edition. Parts wise black n white both are exactly same. Law of Demand n Supply. Lesser the supply n Greater the demand...Price Hike

I STILL haven't gotten my parts from lizardlick- it's ridiculously annoying, and I'm tempted just to cancel them outright.
It means I haven't given SF4 a decent go yet, and whilst I've got my vinyl printed for my mod (it looks GORGEOUS) it's just sitting there collecting dust (albeit snugly wrapped to avoid damage!).
Anyone else having problems with lizardlick atm? I made my orders in early march and haven't heard boo! _________________

I read its because they're flooded with orders. They still haven't re-opened new orders. _________________

I put together a custom stick last week. Not sure what art work to place on the face might even leave it as is.
