my best friend a lesbian who moved off to queensland, she used to be kinda weak and un-toned and easy to tickle. she took up pilates while up there with a few friends, and i gotta say it did tone her and give her strength something remarkable, couldn't have a chance to tickle her if she doesn't want to be after that anyway, ya, it seems to work well and i gotta give it respect, if the results are the same for guys it might not be a bad idea for some either. _________________

Well just an update - I completed the Geelong Half Marathon yesterday. First time! Hurrah! 2hrs and 3mins. I am pretty pleased with that considering thats on the same pace as I did for the 14.1k. Felt pretty good up right up to 15k - then really started notice the tiredness from about 18k mark... and was pretty knackered from then on. It didnt help that the home straight was about 2kms long!
Oh yeah I got beat by a dog - imagine that! There was a couple running with a dog and they passed me around the 18k mark. Oh well you can't beat them all! Would have finished a couple of minutes behind.
Anyways some people say its really boring running - for me its almost like some sort of meditation - just zoning out for a little while. Its when it starts to hurt that running is no fun!
PS - I would also like an update from Itachi! _________________

I seriously did not know this thread existed. I feel like a moron.
Well thats what university does to you.
I started my weight loss December 2007. I was 125Kgs.
Then went down to 100Kgs in Jan. 2009.
Since then I have cut all soft drinks out of my diet and now at 88Kgs.
I have begun to exercise again with some cycling on the exercise bike.
8 Kgs to go!

Well, the last 1kg beast of an Easter egg has finally been beaten, please keep in mind it was the second I had eaten
Seems I put on a few kilos, was 95kg now 98kg, I'm moving house soon, so I am not worried about my weight, too busy to care, once I settle into the new area I will get back to my walking and jogging.

Lost 1.7 kg last week, so a total of 7.6 kg so far. A long way to my goal but as long as I stick to the diet and avoid the temptation like I have been doing so far I'll get there. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

Well since we're all sharing, Ive started getting back into jogging and lifting now that basketball is over and am trying to achieve my goal of 90kg. That easter weekend didn't help, I had two massive 500g eggs, I figured I would eat them both over that weekend to get them out of the way lol....now im paying for it.
For the past few weeks Ive been jogging for 30min 4 days a week, and doing HIIT Cardio for another 2 (basically just sprint to the max for a minute, jog for a minute rinse and repeat etc). Also been doing weights training for 3 days a week.
Im really just trying to lose body fat atm as I know my diet is not very good for gaining muscle...over the past month Ive lost about 4kg just from eating healthier but im hoping ill see better results over the next few weeks with this new exercise program. _________________

Reached a bit of a milestone this week, managed to bench press my own body weight. Was pretty psyched about that! _________________

yeah thats probably true if your going super hard, I prefer jogging for 30min though, it just clears my head I guess, I find HIIT more stressful and I cant "think" about things as I frequently do. I try to do it at least twice a week though which is supposedly enough if your doing steady-state cardio on other days. _________________

Guess it was time for an update from me, slowly losing weight (about a KG a week), however not doing any exercise basically, just eating right and drinking water only.
Most telling though, is that I've lost 2 belt buckles in size, and can fit into shorts that I haven't been able to for 5 years now (when I was about 80KG at that time, 95KG now).

I've been feeling like such a fat lard lately :/ I think it's because I watch the Biggest Loser - but also feel bad I'm eating like chips or easter eggs at the same time *laughs* I need to exercise! _________________

^^ nothing beats the combination of chips and chocolate at the same time, something about that unique palate mix makes me happy and takes me places where no one else can find me _________________

After weighing myself on Friday the 24th and losing 1.1kg in the week, I weighed myself again today and found I'd lost another 1.7kg since then. I have now lost 10.4kg since I started 24 days ago. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

Trying to get back into the habit of doing an abs class at my gym every Tuesday morning again. Did it today for the first time in months and I am in agony! On the plus side, at least I know it's working. _________________

!! well done great to see so many people motivated
I've gained 2kgs since the start of the semester (March~) to a grand total of 63kgs I'm going hard at the gym/weights atm so it's going good

I've heard and recommend that too, although just get on a treadmill and set it to weight loss mode and it does all the thinking for you _________________
