what level were you when you beat Chrono Trigger? I just got up to the end section, and im just wondering how much I have to work before i can beat the boss.

Just over level 50, about level 52-53 or so for each of the characters in my party. Took me awhile to develip a ood technique for the very final boss nonetheless. Good luck in your own battle icon_smile.gif

I beat Dragon Quest IV DS on Saturday. Im gonna have to say that I didnt like it. The main thing I didnt like was that the chapters werent long enough, so no character was any where near developed enough to care about or have any attachment to them. All the way though the game you run around with 1 2 or 3 characters doing a bunch of little quest type things, and then in the final chapter they just throw 8 charcters at you and you have to pick which ones you want to use. Ending was unispiring, and I was left with no feelings at all when I switched the DS off.

That being said it was an enjoyable game to play, and the graphics, sound and overall gameplay were all fairly solid.

I give it a 2.5 / 5. Wouldnt recommend to anyone besides big DQ fans.

finished off half life2, episode 1, and now on ep 2.

i found out theres an invincibility cheat just before, couldve been nice in half life, no stress on saving constantly. ive gone this far without cheating, might aswell finish it all without cheats.

also got that achievement - go through episode 1 and only use one bullet, wasnt that hard actually.

I just finished Broken Sword Shadow Of The Templars: The Directors Cut on DS which took me about 10 solid hours to complete. Overall I found the game highly addictive especially because of the excellent Templars story line - just like the Da Vinci code it enthralled me from beginning to end.

To be honest I haven't played to many point and click games so the gameplay was quite a new concept but I found myself enjoying the exploring of the environments even more than that of a regular action game. The puzzles were quite inventive but I didn't have too many problems (I think I used the hints about 10 times or so throughout the game).

Anyway I was going to sell this game after finishing it but now I'm thinking otherwise as the story would certainly be fun to play through again. I would give it about a 8/10 - certainly one of the better DS titles out there.

Just finished GTA:CTW and thought that it was really good. I've still got a lot of mucking around to do as I'm only ~55% through the entire game. I felt that the story was pretty lame and that there should have been more missions and just more variety among missions. I do appreciate that they tried to do some varied missions (dress up as the dragon for starters) but more would have been good.

I think that they used the DS's capabilities excellently. The duel screen helped a lot and the touchscreen was great for breaking into cars, lobbing grenades and breaking locks.

I also loved the whole PDA system, that felt really well done and integrated well.

I wish that there was more of a variety of cars though, but there were an impressive number considering it's on the DS.

The actual city was massive and graphics were great and the actual driving controls were great.

I don't really like how the money worked though. I think it's too hard to come by tbh, especially seeings as the dealers have a limited amount of product to sell and you have a limited amount you can carry on you. I think that it would be better if it was hard to get money initially, but when you are allready wealthy, it was exponentially easier to get money (no caps on amount of drugs to buy and carry).

Overall a very good game though.

Just finished off Condemned 2. Another one I can tick off my long list! icon_biggrin.gif Thought it was quite good. Did get quite wacky towards the end and the abundance of rifles and the new "special ability" make the final level a (relatively) scare-free breeze. When the inevitable 3rd game comes out I hope there are much more of the revamped forensic elements, I loved those parts.

COH - opposing fronts - Completed campaign just now, not all achivements, but still I count it as done. Confirms Relic as the best RTS developers there is - far outstripping Westwood who had my respect in the day. Blizzard needs to pull out something special in starcrart II to ascend to the throne. I am really wanting the new expansion, but I am not at all convinced that its worth the $50 asking price.

Yesterday I finished Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. While I enjoyed the experience overall to be honest it felt more like a third-person shooter than an action-adventure game. In particular the cover system reminded me too much of Gears of War. In saying that though, the first act of sorts was pretty spot on and felt much more balanced between exploring/puzzle solving and shooting than the bulk of the game. The finale was...a bit strange.

It would have been much better if it had ended with Nate jumping onto the statue and having that last portion play out as a cutscene or a better way would have been running away from some sort of peril as the place was collapsing or something.

All of these criticisms aside I was satisfied with the game and especially loved the first portion and the characterisations of the main players. Will be interesting to see what Among Thieves shall be like.

Just beat Grandia Xtreme, clocking in at just over 41 hours (though some of this was just standing idle) and I only started it last Sunday.

Overall the game is superb. It has great graphics, enjoyable music, the best battle system ever, it plays greats except for the slowish camera turning.

Though one thing did start to wear me down. Anyone who has completed this game should know what im talking about - The relentless fighting and grinding in those multi-multi leveled dungeons, wow if I ever hear the words Starry Corridor again my head is likely to explode.

I stuck with it and finished it in one of the quickest times ive ever clocked an RPG.

High recommendations if you dont mind a little forced grinding.

Just finished Braid for PC.

Haven't been this wowed with a game for some time. This is one of those games I'd use as a good argument as to how gaming can be a form of art.

Just finished resident evil 5.

I don't know if I like or don't. Controls were a pain in the ass at the start, but weren't a hassle half way through, but no scares, and the story was the worst iv'e played in a resident evil 5 game, but it was an alright action game if you disregard its resident evil i guess.

I just finished GTA: Chinatown Wars last night. Took my 8 hours and 48 minutes exactly according to the rockstar social club and I finished with 54.12%. Not sure I'll bother attempting to get the 100%, not my style. It really was a fun game, although it was insanely hard to do any sort of precision driving and as soon as you got the minigun the game became as easy a game as I've ever played.

I also collected the Lions of Fo and finished the Xin missions, according to the social club I was the 2,855th person world wide to find the Lions of Fo and link them to my account. I am very proud of that number, I was expecting it to be insanely higher.

over the last week i finished, turok, eat lead, fracture and gun.
I seem to enjoy the games that get fairly crappy reviews and not like the big wig games.
One problem i had with all those games, all very short, i think every single one of them could have been twice as long.

Now the problem is, what to play until June....

I am really bad at this... I'll play a game really solidly for a few weeks, get bored, and move onto another game. When I eventually come back to it I'll think "I haven't played it in so long, I better start again" and the cycle repeats itself...

Ummm... Portal, I really loved it. Before that (because everyone knows Portal is short and to the point), I think it'd be either Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime or Phonix Wright 2.

Lol I'm like that too, Any way I just finished "the Legend of Zleda: Twilight Princes." just last week, lol, fists time too.

The only thing I got annoyed by was the frequency of random battles. Sometimes getting a fish to bite onto the lure would be a complete pain too.
