It's neither, this Motorstorm isn't really a true sequel more like an expanding the Motorstorm franchise. This version of Motorstorm isn't done by Evolution Studios (the guys who did the original Motorstorm and Motorstorm Pacific Rift).
The developer this time is by Bigbig studios (their previous title was Pursuit Force - PSP/PS2 title), the first time I saw this announced was for the PSP (it's coming out for both the PS2 and PSP).
