What the hell is up with your formatting?! Reading that was more trouble then it was worth. I don't think Konami can match, let alone surpass, what EA Montreal has achieved. _________________

Well I tried FIFA 08 and I hated it! I also tried the FIFA 09 demo, and I didn't like that either.
I know it's odd because the games have been getting lots of good reviews and people have a good opinion of it, but I simply cannot get used to the gameplay.
So it's going to be Pro Evo again next season, but they better not change the gameplay too much.
Don't forget to include full analog, this was one thing that I liked about FIFA when compared to PES. I don't think any of the licensing will change much for a while. _________________

I used to play PES religiously (PES3 up till PES6), FIFA never came close. Then PES 08 came out and I walked away from the series.
I play FIFA 09 occasionally at my friend's place, but it's still not there yet either. Too much "auto" rubbish and just doesn't have that solid control about it. Too concerned with looking pretty than giving the player real control. I would still prefer PES6 or PES5.
I'm really hopeful for PES 2010 but I have my doubts. I really hope I'm wrong as I hate not playing any soccer games. _________________ nting.

I still think Fifa '99 is the best Soccer game. All these realistic games suck out all the fun.

I didnt like the demo either but I still bought the full game and it feels 10x better then the demo did IMO.
I played the PES09 demo and it was very meh. I hope this year the games are both awesome!! _________________

FIFA 09 is the pinnacle of soccer games at present, the next FIFA will only improve on this winning formula. Last gen Konami nailed it with PES 5, from there its been a downward spiral. _________________

PES 5 had too many niggly fouls for no reason.
PES6 for the win.
If only they had the gameplay of PES6 in the prettiness of Fifa 09. We would all explode if that happened.

I am in the PES camp as well.
FIFA beats PES hands down when it comes to presentation and offering a more robust and solid online component.
But when it comes to recreating the beautiful game, PES is still superior. The gameplay is fluid and flows beautifully like a real football match and matches never feel the same.
FIFA in trying to be more like PES has definitely improved over the years but the gameplay is now too slow and players are not really responsive.
PES2009 is awesome, it just suffers from horrible online lag.

I ain't buying unless there is a substantially different game of soccer. Its been the same game since PES 3
All the old PES are still extremely playable and there is no need to upgrade. _________________
