Don't worry, there will definitely be some. We got some group photos, and DeathFalcon was making good use of his camera. _________________

I only just got home. I probably had a few too many brews and ended up falling asleep at the tram stop then waking after all trams had finished, took me an hour and a half to finally get a cab.
Oh and apparantly some girl I was having words with was into me (according to Karai, and I think it was Ecky at that point, cant really be sure) but I'm not interested in people who irritate me, and she was irritating the crap out of me, and making me look like a fool (though I'm sure I helped in that regard), much to the delight of my fellow forumers.
All in all it was awesome fun, many thanks go out to Admeister for organising everything, you did a good job and bowling was awesome. Your sudden bowling skills at the last minute didn't go unnoticed, punk arse pretending to be bad and then beating everyone. Grats to Fetid also for owning Lane 1, with Karai coming in a close second (Clione coming in second on lane 2).
Anyhoo, I start work in three hours so it's sleepy time.

First off - kudos to Admeister for organising the meetup yesterday. We had quite a few people go to the bowling event and it was a lot of fun getting to know other forumers and meet the faces behind some of the usernames.
There were a couple of funny and insane moments during bowling. In particular recalling Vervain bowling two balls down the lane at the same time. Another thing I remember is that somebody in lane 2 (couldn't recall who) somehow managed to defy physics. They rolled a ball into the gutter then the ball somehow spun or rebounded (!?) off the gutter and back into the lane knocking off a few pins. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what happened there.
We went to a bar afterwards, had a couple of drinks and then as Admeister mentioned we split off from the group and went to Galactic Circus. Had three extremely close games of air hockey and just managed to edge out victory in the final game. It could've gone either way - great games Admeister.
I'm thinking that a bi-monthly meetup would probably be better than a monthly as Fly mentioned. Pretty much agreeing on Fly's points here, as it gives more time to plan and set aside some cash as not everyone has ready access to cash. Bi-monthly should be frequent enough so that we all have a good opportunity to meet with each other on a somewhat regular basis. _________________ Recently Finished: Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky (8/10)

Again many thanks must go out to Admeister again for organising last night.
Last night ended up being ******* awesome. I was expecting it to be fun but nowhere near as fu as it ended up. I ended up trash talking to Deathfalcon during the bowling whilst Clione tried to protect him, tried bowling 2 balls at once but broke the ghostbusters rule and crossed the paths meaning they both went into the gutter. Oh and Karai showed up hung over and started drinking within about 30 minutes of showing up.
By the time I left at about 11:30pm Sin was completely wasted, Fetid was just completely and utterly off his face and I had basically lost my voice from trying to talk over the music. There was a period of about 20 minutes where 3 girls and 2 guys just sat and played with Karai's hair and took pictures of themselves with him. Then me, Clione and Kaerlis bitched about the lack of Gambit in the X-Men films and the crap that was the Transformers movie.
All in all it was a bloody awesome night and something I would definitely want to do again. _________________

I actually managed to somehow do this myself many years ago - my ball went into the gutter and I thought all was lost but somehow the barrier came down and it magically jumped back onto the lane and took out a few pins
Anyway, it sounds like it was a great night had by all and I can't wait to see the pictures of those Melbournian shenanigans. _________________

Damn, I was about 200m away from where you guys were last night, but alas, my night was filled with karaoke and having to get a few very drunk people home safely.
Sounds y'all had an awesome night, though. Count me in next time, I'm dying to wet my whistle (also I may actually have some money by then). _________________

Again, thanks go to Ads for making it all happen. Bowling was great fun (haven't been in ages) and it's cool to finally put some faces to names around here. Great to finally meet up with people, especially those few who have prompted it before (Chimp, Theo, Sin) - and who aren't afraid of buying rounds. Good times.
DF and Clione were surprise standouts I think, they're good peoples - the sooner you two move down here the better, cool folk don't deserve to be stuck in Sydney! And all those filthy little secrets I now know about DF! Ha!
Sin, that chick was all over you man. It was just teasy-flirty - think you were a bit drunk and took it the wrong way. Oh, and thanks for sticking me with that last pint too, really didn't need that. I got to my tram okay, but then napped on it a good few blocks past where I wanted to be. Ah well, the walk back netted me some water and a pie from the servo, which is essential at that part of the night.
PALGN Melbourne Meet-up wins, basically. (and these people lie horribly, I am not a lush... much) _________________

Well the best way to stop a hangover is to just not stop drinking. _________________

I wouldn't complain either if that happened . Unfortunately it wasn't my evening in bowling last night. No strikes or spares and a few gutter balls... if only I could do what you did...

That's ok. Hope you feel better soon ZeroX. Heard around the forum here that you play a bit of Tekken. Would be nice to meet up with you to play a match or two sometime say at the next Melbourne meetup wherever it happens. Don't expect anything fancy from me though. I haven't played much of T6:BR and suck with the new B! system combos. The last Tekken that I really played is T5:DR. Against some of the veterans I stood absolutely no chance. Wouldn't mind some matches to get an edge against my brother when T6:BR comes out on PS3 though . _________________ Recently Finished: Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky (8/10)

Thanks bro. Tekken would be fun, I still play alot on my PS3 (Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online) so if you have that we can have a few matches, if not, don't worry about it. At Uni (LaTrobe, Bundoora) we have a T6:BR machine so I pretty much play everyday, though the transition from Pad to Stick is proving quite hard, can't do half the things on Stick that I can easily do on Pad. Only other places I know which have a T6:BR machine is on Russell st (WhiteHouse), Box Hill and Highpoint. Can't wait till T6:BR comes out on the PS3, argh September-October seems so far away! _________________

Let me start off by thanking Ads for making the meet up a reality. It really was a great night out with the Palgn crew.
Great to finally put faces to the usernames and get to know fellow users on a social level. Thriz, you’re more pimp in person than I imagined. I swear I could see you’re pimp aura. I finally know what Charlie Murphy meant about Rick James aura, it is dead set exactly the same as this...
But for reals man, the Force is strong with this one and we def have to do something sometime. I’m up for whatever so we’ll organise something. Fetid was true value! I never expected you to be such a funny bastard. Even though you’re a gooner, you’re still down in my books. Sin, you were the highlight during bowling. How you managed to get the bowl to rebound off the alley and actually hit some pins was gold! By the end of the night you were absolutely trashed. Too trash to realise that the chick was chatting you up, sly devil. Karai, you’ve inspired me to meet more people with afro’s. The way you draw ladies with your do, is something to be admired. But I do see what you meant when it had its disadvantages. I too would hate random blokes touching it. Deathfalcon and clione, it was great talking about comics, getting ripped off on returns, eBay and warranties. You two better end up making the move down here, how can you pass the opportunity to hang with the Melbourne crew on a regular basis? Vervian and kaerlis, our comic movie rants were great. I was watching some of Transformers today when I got back from my mates and it really hit me how crap it was save the few Transformers scenes. Nietzsche, at least I think it was you, I’m **** with names, but great to see that you stayed till late with Karai, Sin and myself. I don’t think the banter we were giving Sin about his lady friend wouldn’t have been as funny without you. Ads and embersilvermoon, SNES rocks! That is all. Nah, it was great having the debate on which console is better.
From my part, I must apologise for not being able to drink as much as I’d hope. Was keen to get trashed but I made the mistake of driving to the station meaning I had start sobering up. But I’m lucky as hell seeing as I got pulled over by a booze bus on Warrigal Rd on my way to the house party. I was completely clean so that was a relief. If it’s any consolation, next meet up I’ll make sure not to drive! _________________

That was a great night, was originally wanting to go to crown but then most of us stayed at the bar karai and co. led us into, good ol' lounge, and the ongoing fiesta of jugs of beer and plates of cajun chips that followed with plenty of chatter, everyone sharing around. Was great, once we were at lounge and everyone had started to get to know each other it all just flowed and was some truely great people to meet. cheers to ads for organising, and a big cheers to Sin Ogaris for all the free beer! he was shouting everyone he could, even if they didn't want any!
I would have loved to get tanked if i hadn't missed the train and had to drive in, definately next time if it's near a station. I also would've been around longer, but when i went out to find a place to take a piss the security wouldn't let me back in! (overcrowding?). Heres to a great night out, and heres to next time! now the introductions are over with should be straight into good stuff next time. Clione and DeathFalcon are solid awesome, glad they're coming down here for good. likewise, great meeting vervain, jacinta, ecky, theory, ads, nietsche, simon, sin, the slightly out-of-it fetid, and karai's massive afro! _________________

I had a good time, until waking up in the morning. Thanks for admeister for organising it. I left to get some money from the ATM across the street and when I came up couldn't get in without paying so sorry about not saying bye. I'm happy with my one strike while bowling and it was a good night had by all I think

Last night was A-W-E-S-O-M-E... awesome!!!
Thankyou to admeister for organising the meet up. It was truly a great night.
I never thought Id fit in so well
Strike was fun, watching vervain use two bowling balls and get two gutter balls in one shot.
Seeing deathfalcon hit one pin!!
My fingers slipping and the bowling ball going backwards!
Sin defying physics!
Then off to what was supposed to be crown and ending up at lounge bar and having all of us talking our selves silly.
I think the best part of last night was finally meeting and having drinks with people you post and chat to everyday. Karai had himself 3 girls and two guys feeling up his fro
By the end of the night Fetidchimp was out of it, Karai had drunk himself sober and glen wass convinced he had to join palgn
Thankyou to Sin for the free drinks. Your to kind.
It was great to meet Tim, Sin Ogaris, Clione, Deathfalcon,Fetidchimp, theory, nik and of course KARAI!!!
Cant wait for the next meet up

Did I really buy everyone that many drinks? I got a couple of jugs, and I remember shouting the few schooners and a vodka at one stage too, but then Karai and the like were sidling up with double jugs when they were shouting. So it wasn't only me, I swear I'm not really that nice.
Gah, my persona is ruined.
I'd also love to say how great it was to meet everyone, actually put faces to names and the like, now that I'm actually in some form of sober I can recollect on the night and agree not to get so damn trashed when I have to work the next day (yeah right).
Pretty bummed I missed the two handed bowling, but the backwards bowl from NVus more than made up for it.

Yeah, we did a good job of keeping the drinkies flowing Sin. So did DF and Clione (at least, DF paid? =P). It's good to meet up with people who arn't stingy at the bar =) _________________

thanks Ads for putting it together, brilliant idea!! bowling was fun, and alas i did not come second in my lane. i also accidentally took a shot for Sin on the last game as no one realised he had another shot... things could have ended much differently.
i have no idea where we went drinking but it was great. sharing chippies and nachos was also great. and yes, the drinks on this side were curtesy of DF, aint he grand? ^__^
but yes, it was great to talk to so many of you! Admeister, Karai (i knew we were in the right place when i saw you), Theory (was great talking to you, nice to hear your say on heels and all that), Sin, Ecky, Kaerlis, Vervain, NVus, your friend the random guy, Simon, Fetidchimp and everyone else. it was awesome talking to you all about all those random things, you guys are an awesome bunch, pitty we had to fly back to sydney the next day. can't wait to see more of you when we move down
below, i present to you the palgn melbourne meet up class of 2009. DF will be putting up more pics i believe.
