^ There not alone. I haven't finished FF X either, haven't tried to play it in about 2 years, but my last save was probably right befor the start of the last series of boss fights. I just found so much about the game boring (battle system, i hate turn based in a RPG, didn't care for the characters or story either, so there's no incentive to finish.)
I use to pride myself on completing every game i owned, then i got a job and bought more games and now i don't think i've finished half of them anymore.
I'm most dissapointed with myself for having not finished 'Stubbs the Zombie' I freakin love that game, but i just have so much trouble in the last fight.
Haven't finished Psychonauts either, i'm kind of lost in a very Maze like level. i just walk around in circles trying to find something i can't remember now.
of the current Gen games, i haven't finished Valkyria Chronicles, Siren Blood Curse and Folklore. not doing too bad their i suppose.

The only couple of games that I can remember completing in recent memory that aren't Guitar Hero or Rock Band is We Love Katamari.
Yeah, virtually every other game I own I have never completed.

I never finished magna carta. PS2 RPG. was enjoying and got stuck so I started playing different games. Must go back and complete it sometime.

I tend to either finish a game, or not like it and return it. But right now I have to finish Killzone 2, and I might have 1 or 2 games I haven't finished. But I normally play a game heaps until I have finished it.

My finished games far outweighs my non-finished, although there are a few in the below list I kinda feel bad about buying and not really playing (yet)
Eternal Sonata - I started playing this when it went on sale for $29 at JB last year. Enjoying the story, but my 360 RROD'd and once I got it back I just never got around to playing it. Every time I consider it I just can't be bothered getting in to an RPG
Bully - Not sure about this one, I was having fun with it, but I something must have been released and I got sidetracked and never went back to it. I think I was in the last chapter.
Orange Box - In particular HL2. Having never played HL but heard good things about Portal so picked this up. Probably played HL2 for a few hours, didn't know where I was supposed to go and gave up. Tried Team Fortress and was too laggy so gave that up. I Finished Portal though!
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune - Only played the very start of the game, but enjoyed what I did play! I'll go back to it eventually 
Ratchet & Clank (whatever the sub-name of the game is) - Same as Uncharted, started playing, I think I got up to where you get that gun that shoots green slime trampoline things. I'll get back to it!

There are a few in this current collection i would like to get through.
The Orange Box (imparticularily Portal)
Condemned 2
Dark Sector
Fallout 3 (doubt i will ever finish this game, its the time restraints)
Burnout 3 (Want to get the best licence)
Little Big Planet (get through the story created levels)
COD World at War Story (so hard to get through when the multiplayer is just sitting there in the PS3)
For now that's probably it. A few, but manageable with the exception of Fallout 3.

To be honest, I have to remember half of the games I haven't finished yet. I exlcude any RTS, several fighting games and some FPSes from my list of "haven't finished yet" as I mainly play them for their multiplayer vaule. That just leaves a whole bunch of RPGs, action adventure and most notibly, Phoenix Wright: Justice for All.

I'm generally pretty good at finishing all my games, but one that I just can't even force myself to finish is Far Cry 2. I should probably trade it in (although it's only worth $30 at EB, so probably not worth it), but I still want to give it a chance. I know this has all been said plenty of times before, but it's just so goddamn frustrating having to stop every 2 minutes for a gunfight, then repair your vehicle.
The only others I haven't finished this gen are Tomb Raider Underworld (the game glitched out literally 5 minutes from the end  ). I've also got KZ2 and RE5 begging for completion, and I really want to play them, I'm just terribly addicted to UT3 at the moment.

I constantly try to beat it, but due to the huge amount of memory it needs, I often delete it in order to save more data.
Final Fantasy XII
I just can't get into it. I tried, I nearly beat it too. But I've just lost all motivation and it's been a year so I've forgot everything and I can't be bothered starting again. So it just sits there.

As for that haven't I finished... to be honest there are too many to count! On the top of my list though are Eternal Darkness, Phantom Hourglass, Left 4 Dead, World of Goo and Mafia.
Too many games, so little time.

I think the real question is what have I finished? Lately I seem to be unable to finish games, I get about 3/4 of the way through and then move on to something else. The main games I'm trying to finish at the moment are:
- No More Heroes
- Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Elite Beat Agents
- Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
- REmake
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Okami
But I have a mountain of other games that need to be finished too

It tests your patience finishing FC2 thats for sure. I pushed through in the end and completed it. Day after that I sent it back to EB to never play the thing again.

Last one I ever beat was Super Mario World. Of course even after I beat it, I'd play the stages over and over again. haha

you and me both.
so many incomplete games on my shelves, but then if i look at the complete: incomplete ratio for this gen only, it's much higher in the "complete" end of the spectrum than last gen.
so, the painful part (off the top of my head)... i'm gonna limit this to this gen, though looking at the old thread Theory linked to, there are quite a few PS2 games on my old list that i've actually gone back and completed now.
XBox 360
Condemned 2 - love Condemned. started C2 and was shown the hubcaps nailed to the wall and pretty much quit there. maybe one day.
Lost Odyssey - haven't started. really wanted it when i got it, but never got around to it and can't see myself doing so either. should probably get rid of it.
Gears 2 - haven't started. i only finished Gears 1 over christmas, and at the time didn't feel like more Gears. i want to play it now though.
Halo Wars - haven't started. want to, but want to finish some other stuff first.
Mirror's Edge - got 3-4 levels in, and just stopped. nfi why.
Dead Space - was really psyched for this game, as i love horror games. haven't even started it. came out at the wrong time.
FEAR2 - don't know why i stopped actually. might've been TLAD.
Prince of Persia 2008 - kinda, just haven't started the DLC.
Mass Effect - likewise, haven't finished the DLC.
Bully - don't know why i haven't finished this, something must've distracted me from it.
Midnight Club: LA - haven't started. i've got to be in the mood for a car game, and i haven't been for a loooooong time. despite this, i keep buying the ones that appeal to me.
Forza 2 - see above.
Burnout Paradise - see above
Dead Rising - initially because i had an SD CRT TV, and couldn't read anything. since getting a HDTV, haven't felt the urge to play it again.
Battlefield: Bad Company - got this just after finished COD4, so wasn't really in the mood for another shooty game.
FarCry 2 - haven't started. no idea why.
Saints Row 2 - got bored. GTA4 is better.
Mercenaries 2 - got annoyed with the bugs and general bad quality of this game.
Alone in the Dark - haven't started. bought into the nostalgia hype, but haven't felt the urge to play it yet.
Skate - haven't started. like driving games, i've gotta be in the mood for these games, and so far, i haven't been in the mood for this.
i'm sure there are actually more than this, and it seems like a long list, but i'm pretty sure i've finished ~50% of my X360 games.
PS3
Siren: Blood Curse - was pretty psyched for this, but was playing other stuff at the time and haven't got to it yet.
Resistance: Fall of Man - takes about a hour to get into the game (imo) because of the lack of health regening initially, but then it just seems to waffle on and on and on, throwing every FPS cliche after you, and i'm just kinda bored of it. one day though, just because i'm SURE i'm near the end... (though i've thought that a few times now...) it's strange because it started insanely hard due to no health packs, then once you get them, it's stupidly easy...
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - see MCLA/F2/BOP/Skate
i think that's all actually. i've only got a handful of PS3 games, but a pretty high ratio of completes.
Wii
probably easier to list the games i've finished...
RE4:Wii
Super Mario Galaxy.
and then there's like 20 games i've not finished. i can't even remember what i've got tbh.
Currently playing (and therefore, incomplete):
Fallout 3 - finished the main story, just getting through the sidequests/DLC.
RE5 - playing this co-op only, so it takes more time since we both need to be available.
Crysis
Killzone 2
Madworld
i might amend this list later... if i'm not too depressed...

I'd recommend going back to that one, as the first level was quite weak. Things really pick up from the 2nd level, Preston Hotel, with some great mind trickery. While I kinda agree with everyone in that the story goes to ****, the levels up until the last 2 are still incredible. So many memorable moments (which I won't spoil), so if you liked the first, definitely give it another chance as the gameplay (particularly forensic elements) is much improved.

Wow thats alot! I usually hate having 2 on backlog. I dont buy any new games till I finish the ones I own for that particular reason.

i had a look at my X360 and PS3 games last night, and i missed 2 games:
Kameo - came free with a controller i bought. haven't loaded it, probably won't.
Lego Indy. - got it after finishing Lego SW, and was kinda Lego'd out. doesn't stop me wanting Lego Batman though...
still haven't brought myself to look at my Wii games, nor my handhelds, although i've been pretty good with my DS games... PSP, not so much.
