Well that's brilliant I still haven't heard squat back and my emails still supposedly invalid for my preregistration. Well I know what I won't be doing with any nintendo product from now on at least.

Ok, all is forgiven, I received an email with my codes. Everyone has to re-register, but the system is accepting all the codes now. I have 850 points, Wii Fit gives 350. _________________

Yep, I received the e-mail with the remaining codes I had yet to find as well. I have purchased the Mario Print Face Towels, bringing the Quantum Weather Decelerometer one step closer to increasing the Earth's humidity to somewhat uncomfortable levels. _________________

350 for Wii Fit? You got ripped off. I got 600 for my Wii Fit and 250 just for joining ;D
I think other games are around the 200 mark (Mario Kart and Smash Bros). _________________

Well, it finally let me register with my Gmail account, and added all my games in. I have 1,350 points. ^_^
Deciding if I should purchase the towels or if I should wait for something better.
One thing that bugs me though is that my Cross Word DS code wouldn't be accepted. Not sure what the problem is there, but I'm hoping it's a bug in their system that they'll iron out in the next few days. _________________

That can't be right. Everyone gets 250 for joining, but the stars for each game are a set value. Pics, or it didn't happen!
Here's what it says for me:

If there's nothing there that you seriously want, the best thing to do is to save your Stars and wait for something that truly kicks ass, otherwise, you're in for a long and cold haul when it comes to collecting Stars again (this all depends on your frequency of spending and whether the games released are ones that you like ofcourse).

Just managed to finish off re-registering myself and redoing the code for Mario Kart Wii. I now have 500 points that I think I might save for the Game and Watch DS game. Not too terrible a thing to aim for at this early stage of the club finally being underway properly. Hope that the offer up a lot more things and maybe evne a few Australian exclusives. _________________

Just got the email then about me re registering with the FE code I pre registered with, direct c&p and rewrite both draw the invalid code problem and I haven't purchased a Nintendo product locally to try with another one.
Not a happy chappy at the moment.

Whoops, ok I just checked my account. Got 250 for joining, 350 for Wii Fit. I must have mistaken the new balance for the amount I was being credited. =\
The other Wii games were 250 each. _________________

It was epic with all the surveys..

I just realized that your meant to get points for recently purchased Wii Consoles and considering I bought mine only like a month or two ago I was sure there had to be a code with mine somewhere.. but I've looked through all the packaging to no avail. Supposedly the consoles are worth like 1000 points too.. Sucks! _________________

You should ring up Nintendo and see if they can help you with the points.
I think you deserve them since it was so recent. _________________

Well. If anyone wants to know how the points are distributed, this is actually at the bottom in fine print of the registration page:
Welcome bonus for initial registration = 250 Stars
Registration of software:
Wii Fit = 350 Stars
Games for SRP up to A$99.95 = 250 Stars
SRP up to A$79.95 = 200 Stars
SRP up to A$49.95 = 150 Stars.
Also I had a birthday recently and can confirm that you get 50 Stars if you log in and claim it ON THE DAY of your bday. _________________

So say you buy a DS game and it comes with a code, do you get that codes stars plus the "up SRP up to $79.95" stars too? _________________

I don't think so BurnZ. It's just a general guide of how much Stars will be given of a particular game that comes with the Code Card. Games with no code card will have no code to register. It appears that the codes are game specific too. Those who registered will be well aware of the marketing survey you get with each registration. _________________

Might have been older stock, from before they started handing out points cards. I'd call Nintendo customer service and explain to them that you never got a card, even though you should have.

BUMP!
Been a while since we've updated this thread.
Anybody have any of the items and can review them? I only just got to 1900 stars with SMG2 and I'm thinking about the game case & stylus set since Game & Watch is available to buy online.
Partially Updated Game List Below - does anyone know where to find a complete list? I'm assuming it's most of the Wii and DS games from 2008 onwards on this list.
I've added a few games I've registered recently to the list Jaws typed up for us earlier:
| Jaws wrote: | Complete List of Verified Club Nintendo Games:
Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City
Disaster - Day of Crisis
Mario Kart Wii
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Pikmin (New Play Control)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Trauma Center: New Blood
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Warioland: The Shake Dimension
Wii Fit
Wii Music
Wii Sports Resort
100 Classic Book Collection
Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What To Eat?
CrossworDS
Etrian Odyssey

Kirby Superstar ULTRA
KORG DS-10 Synthesizer

Off the top of my head, Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold/Platinum included points. As did Rhythm Heaven, Zelda Spirit Tracks and WarioWare D.I.Y. I'll see if I can find more.
Speaking of Club Nintendo related stuff, it looks like other regions are getting some awesome new things whilst Australia is left out in the cold as per usual. For example, this was just added to the US Club Nintendo..
See - http://www.destructoid.com/club-nintendo-elite-reward-is-totally-rad-177953.phtml#comment
And to top it off, Japan gets this..
| Quote: | Club Nintendo of Japan continues to put out amazing items. Their next bonuses are no different with custom Mario t-shirts. The shirts will be available in four different colors and you will be able to mix and match different art for the front and back of a t-shirt. Mario on a Yoshi, Chain Chomp, old school Mario and more are available to bring a total of 72 different design variations.
Nintendo will have the shirts available starting August 1 for 600 points each. Check out AndriaSang for more pictures of the custom shirts. I so want some of these shirts, so so so bad. |
Taken from destructoid - http://www.destructoid.com/club-nintendo-to-offer-the-best-mario-shirts-ever-177894.phtml
It's not fair! I think I'll go cry in the corner now.
