Wow we have the same wallpaper Froz.. so I changed it. New screenshot.
I never actually use that computer except for gaming, so here's the desktop of my laptop:
Yeah. I primary use a computer with a resolution of 1024x768 over one with 1680x1050 of desktop space. I don't understand it either.
EDIT: I guess that's why I'm the only one who keeps my posts 1024x768 friendly _________________

Here's mine... I took a screen grab during the loading screen. Thought it looked cool so I used it as a wallpaper
To be honest, not my style and not very inventive, but its hard to find a good 'paper these days.

Those are both XP machines. You can tell from the My Computer icon.

I'm not sure what theme I was using on the desktop, but the laptop was using 'WaalVS', from DeviantArt (give it a search).

I don't use some of the things in the dock, but I am weird and don't like the icons being big or whatever. And I like it to take up the whole bottom of the screen.

Okay time for an update again . Using Xwindows Dock on XP. Some really cool features is the way you can view folders by stacking them on top of each other and viewing files in a grid like manner. The icons on the dock are also in 3d

I grabbed the icons I liked from the stardock object dock library and added them to xwindows dock
| Shadow Wave wrote: | | So all of you who have awesome desktop skins are using that thing called Star Dock? did you pay for it? (or did you 'acquire' it another way?) |
.. fixed the link to the site should be working now. Both objectdock and xwindows dock are freeware.
I also did a search for high res steam and games icons via google.
Only downside to xwindows dock is that you get an error when you have it start up with windows XP (on computers that have Service Pack 3). So its best to launch it manually once your computer has booted into windows. _________________

If you go to preferences/panel .. then untick always on top .. the dock will disappear until you you place you mouse close to the bottom of the screen.

Passa has a MacBook Pro for the next 6 weeks.
Parallels sucks by the way. Gap between screenshot time and post time is because I spent a while trying to transfer the file to my Windows laptop .. And by god is there no way to turn off the damned mouse acceleration? I tried some command in terminal but it didn't do anything.
I also lol'ed at the info icon Finder shows for Windows computers:

Lucky you, I really want a Macbook pro. Anyway, apparently these 2 lines can turn off mouse acceleration:
defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1
defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.trackpad.scaling -1
Then you log out and back in and it should work.
