ohh man... i was with friends a lot of last week and thus i couldn't really avoid bad food...
I ate KFC, Nachos, chips, coke etc... and it was bloody awesome lol...
The good news, is that the weight I put on over that week, i burned back off in one day! woot!
But anyway i've been back at the gym everyday this week and getting back to work.
currently at 25.9 on the BMI scale, which is only ONE point off being classified as 'normal'! woot!
I also have dropped again in pants size, now im a size 34 in jeans (I used to be size 40) :O (I never thought I would get this thin!)
So im currently weighing in at 84 Kilo's, and i want to try and get down to about 75 - 77kg's....
so im quite happy.
edit: but it really REALLY sucks not having any clothes that fit anymore haha. _________________ http://bencadphotography.com/

I've started weights today with my best friend. He's being doing them for 4 years, so he keeps trying to get me into it, aand now I have finally done it.

You think it hurts now, wait for the delayed onset muscle fatigue.
It's where you feel fine the day you workout, and the day after you workout. Then the day after that, the muscles start caning. But that's not for a few months.
You'll just be even more sore tomorrow.

hah, I've been doing weights now for 2 years and as Kurupt said, if it hurts now, you ain't seen nothing.
Wait for the burn you feel after over-extenuating your muscles and you can't pick up a glass of water, because of the shaking... _________________

I got stopped by the police today. Apparently it's illegal to carry concealed weapons. *flex*
Gym this morning, so I am unbelievably pumped at the moment. It's a good feeling.
Kinda down though, because I put on .8 kilos since yesterday...hoping it's all muscle though.

Did it ever occur to you when you wrote that, that there might be children on this forum? Like if you want to kill your brain cells and feel the need to post that to be part of the "in crowd" that's fine but perhaps other people don't really want to hear about it?
Like I don't want to ruin your high or trample your mellowness "dude" but grow a set and wake up!
P.S if you want to lose weight and keep it off try boxing, You don't need to actually fight but you can train the same way. I dropped about 30 kilos when I was younger by doing this and after about a year of it I was built like a brick sh!thouse without lifting too many weights...........THEN I moved to Gosford and put it all back on it also doesn't help being a chef and having to taste everything.
Eat heaps of steamed veg, fish and skinless chicken. It is pretty low fat but will give you energy and wont make you bloated.
Tinned tuna is awesome for snacks along with rice crackers and heaps of water.
Try not too eat too much fruit in one day...Stick to 4 pieces max a day
Edit: I spelled "snacks" as "snakes" _________________ Kocobo Je' Srbija!

why not? I'll admit I never eat more than 4 per day but any particular reason why not to eat too much it doesn't give you massive amounts of gas does it XDDDD
thanks for the price-related responses guys! It's so hard to find out any info through the actual gyms so it's great to see what people are paying personally so I can figure out whats a rip off
good luck with the goals everyone Last week was my first return to the weights in maybe 4 months... it hurt afterwards luckily I'm still light/small so I got over it in about a day _________________

I'm in a bit of a fatshit state at the moment. Hit an all time high for me of 82kg. As of tomorrow I'm gonna start excercising again because changing my diet is too hard, I eat way too much junk food lol.
Besides, after spliting with my missus of 4 years it's about time I got back into shape to impress the ladies. Or not... lol
If I start competing at boxing again I'll post info on the fights, cos I'll be training in either sunshine or airport west and theres plenty of melbournites here.

Well, I have only been back at MMA for 3 weeks and was getting my ass kicked, but after tonight I decided that I was gunna enter the upcoming Brazillian Jiu Jitsu competiton (Victoria Champs) since I felt like a monster today during training.
I have 2kg to lose in 8 days, The hardest thing about this will be the lack of beer and weed (I had a pub session planned for thursday and a green session planned for friday =[).
Will let you guys know how it goes with both the comp and weight loss. _________________

I just weighed myself and I currently weigh in at 143lbs(64kg). About a year ago I was 10lbs(4.5kg) less. I'm currently on spring break, so I'm taking this opportunity to begin shaping up my eating and exercising habits. I hope to weigh in at 123lbs(55.7kg) before July. _________________

3kg in 7 days, I'm never losing weight that quickly again. Feel weak, and I crave a beer/kfc combo badly. _________________

That's pretty bad man...As for me, I'm slowly getting rid of it. .5kg in the last week. I'm still doing weights 3 days a week though.
Also started running about a week ago, which was fantastic, as I haven't run in quite a long time.
How is everyone else going?

I've lost about 1.3kg in the past five days. I'm exercising daily and I'm not starving myself, so I'm surprised I lost that amount of weight in such little time. The hardest part is cutting down on eating. _________________

I freaking hate leg days.
halfway through, generally right after squats and into leg press, I start feeling sick, and want to throw up.
Then by the end I feel like i want to die.
God i love it.

^ ha...I've not done a proper legs workout in ages, but I used to love it too.
Was always fun coming out of the gym as there was stairs to come down and then driving my car was fun as it had a really heavy clutch. _________________

Reviving this thread a little.
I've recently gone on a diet and have cut out all junk food such as McDonalds, KFC etc. Also stopped drinking soft drinks and the energy drinks such as V I used to drink a lot of and have only drunk water in the past 7 days. So far I have lost 5.9kg in this time.
I just have to keep this up which I am determined to do. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

I will be running my first half marathon next weekend in Geelong! Really nervous... I was training for the 14.1k Run for the Kids the last four months (I hadn't run further than 5k prior). I had plenty of gas left in the tank after the race so I figured I would try a half marathon. The only problem is its on next weekend! So a 7k jump in two weeks! I went as far as I could go yesterday - 19.6k on the treadmill before I conked out... I will do another 10k maybe monday or so... and then really just hope I make the distance on race day!
If anyone else is doing it - let me know! Would be good to meet up. Speaking of which - did anyone do Run for the Kids? _________________

I did the Run for the Kids, too crowded for my liking though so was more of a chore than anything. Also ran the melbourne half last year so dont stress too much about the jump in distance - once you are in that rhythm you can kinda go all day.
Just watch that you don't overtrain leading up to it, two races that close together can be very rough on the body so be sure to look after it.
Best of luck! _________________ Kill each other nicely please.
