some bits of this game are incredibly frustrating, but i guess its addictive because its so hard, it feels so rewarding finally killing that boss, I know exactly what you mean about that damned misty forest road...
it is my first ever castlevania and i liked it enough to start hunting out some of the others

This is the first on of the out of the GBA and DS Castlevania game I didn't finish. I just bored about 70% through.

Honestly, I think this is the BEST Castlevania ever. The game is simply a masterpiece in every way.

The worst metrovania. Dull dull dull. Pointless quests with lots of grinding for miniscule payoff, dull linear maps, weapon system is also lacklustre. Normally with the metrovanias, I love it so much I can easily forgo sleep but this was so bad, I had to just commit time to it, finish it so I can forget about it. It languished for 2 weeks and I imported this too. That's how bad I think it is. I could easily have walked away from this.

I completely disagree with you there. The game is crafted so well. The bosses, the weapon system, even the story are fantastic. I was addicted to this from the start to end.
