yeah I posted the rumour about EB stocking the SE FightSticks from what someone posted on OzHadou, but another PALGNer asked EB and they had no idea, but then again, I think the only people who would know are EB Head Office, and the stores won't know until the memo goes out to them.
Cross fingers for those SE Sticks

more confirmation is good news for Stick searchers.
man $80 AUD is REALLY cheap even for the SE FightSticks considering they are $80 USD. I think this info would be wrong and perhaps confused with the US RRP.

The only thing i've heard about about EB getting an arcade stick is they're getting some generic Hori stick(Not a FS3 or HRAP 3....just some random ugly thing....although it does soughta look like a XCM Dominator if i remember correctly =/) and not any of the Mad Catz one...bare in mind i did ask around 2 weeks ago.

From what I've heard the stick at EB isn't a Hori or a MadCatz, but a 'Nitho' stick:
http://www.nitho.com/proview.php?his=L3Byb2R1Y3RzLnBocD9wYWdlPTImcGxmPXBzMw==&plf=ps3&name=PS3+Arcade+Stick
It seems to be a European peripheral, because I saw something similar on Amazon.co.uk when looking for TEs and SEs. There's really not much more information on the net though ... I would probably try it out beforehand if I were to purchase it, but I guess with IV out there doesn't seem to be many affordable stick options at the moment anyway :/

Bingo!!! That's looks like the one i was talking about. Show's how random branded a stick it is =/ Just from that picture i can tell that using it wouldn't be comfortable to use(looks like there ain't much space for you to rest your palms on it).

Man honestly, where are you guys digging on these weirdo sticks from. I would probably recommend the Hori's if you can secure a Madcatz one, at least the Hori sticks are still pretty decent quality.
By Hori I mean Real Arcade Pros (PS3/XB360), but even the smaller sized Soul Calibur IV / PS3 Fight Sticks should be way better than that "Nitho".
Obviously if you want the best I can't reccommend the Madcatz Tournament Editions enough.
Ah... to play SFIV the way it was meant to be played. I know it's tough, but I can't let such a thing of beauty to waste.

If anyone looking for good sticks in general and has deep enough pockets, try arcade-in-a-box (based in USA). International shipping runs at US$46. They make PS3, 360, and Hyrbid (PS3+360) sticks using the customer's choice of Japanese style or Western style sticks and buttons. Be aware that due to SFIV there's been A LOT of orders so it can take up from 6-9 weeks to get an order shipped. I know they're quite expensive, but they do use top quality stuff.
If anyone curious go ahead and check out the reviews.

I was looking around for other places that have good arcade sticks for sale in general and I came across goldenshop.com.hk.
While they don't have any SFIV sticks listed, they seem to have HRAP and HSF sticks in stock (again listed in USD). _________________

I've sent them an email and haven't heard back yet. Their website looks a little...dodgy, and I'm not sure if it gets updated much so I don't know if this reflects their current stock. _________________

Funny you should ask, I just heard back from them (had been a couple of days).
They're out of stock though unfortunately (surprise surprise) and are predicting them to be back in stock April sometime. _________________

Hori Fight Stick 3 - Quick Review
I got my two HFS3's today, and I've had about half an hour on them and figured I would post my thoughts. Note that I've never used any other sticks on consoles (only at the arcade and also the NES arcade stick-awesome stick) and really just basing my thoughts on what I think is acceptable. Also I've only tried the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology on the PS3 at the moment, but the move sets are very similar so anyone with Street Fighter IV can probably still base their thoughts on this mini review. I'll try out Tekken and VF5 later and update this post with more thoughts. Primarily though I bought sticks to play SF so Im reviewing it based on that.
The overall build quality is passable, and definitely nothing to write home about. Its cheap looking and feels cheap too, but thats what you get with one of the cheapest sticks on the market. At $100 a pop its still a hole in your average gamer's wallet! There is nothing 'arcade' quality about this. It works and thats all you get. There's no sturdiness you get from arcade buttons or arcade stick. The whole thing is quite light weight so when you are doing quick special moves in Street Fighter, there is a tendency in the whole unit to move around. It would definitely help if it was a bit heavier. Size wise its about right.
The stick has a square gate (at least what I think everyone is calling a square gate). This means when you move the stick to the outer edges it creates a square shape. Im not sure if this is hindering me doing Ken's super, but I have found it infinitely easier on the dualshock to do Ken's super (double QC+ Punch) which is just wrong. I would say I could perform it in the arcade 9 times out of 10. But with the HFS3 it would be about 1 out of 30 times, both left and right facing. Dragon punches and fireballs are fine, but performing double quarter circles is enough to pull your hair out in frustration. I haven't played Guile or other charge characters but I don't think there would be too much problem with them. Not being able to do the super is unacceptable though. Also it was hard to jump up and do the spinning round house kick from the air, but I think the sticks response time was a little slow, but eventually I did get the hang of it and started pulling them off regularly, although it definitely feels different to an arcade stick. Overall I think its an ok stick which would be fine on other fighters that dont require double QCs and double HCs.
The buttons are a bit cheap but they function well. The layout is a little awkward and although I haven't used the Madcatz SFIV sticks I think their layout is a little better.
Function wise - it looks like the FS3 works with PS3 games, PC games and also PS2 games on the PS3 (via a previous system software update from Sony). The aesthetics are pretty piss poor, black plasticky and no artwork in sight. It is also hard to mod the stick (requires solder and dremmel), but I'm assuming casuals probably won't anyway.
I would imagine it would be a great stick for stuff like Galaga or Wonderboy or TMNT:Arcade or other simple arcade games, even virtua tennis... but for technically demanding games such as Street Fighter, there's no two ways about it, not being able to do a move simply kills the stick.
So the verdict is if you're after a cheap stick - then note the deficiencies above before buying.
If you're caught in two minds about buying this stick and another more expensive stick, I would suggest buying the more expensive one - i think it would definitely be worth it. The quality is not here in this stick.
So to end - I would probably give the stick a fail or 4/10 for Street Fighter Alpha. And 7/10 for other games - its very acceptable for non technically demanding games.
I will update this after playing VF and Tekken.
Suffice to say I'm going to sell mine on Ebay... Eggy - this review is basically exactly what you said about the FS3 - it wasn't that I wasn't listening!! But I needed to have a stick by the time SFIV came (still not here), however I think Im going to need to buy another.
Feedback would be welcome - let me know if the HFS3 works great with Street Fighter IV, I may reconsider selling it.
EDIT: Well I noticed that in the home options, there was an option to select digital and analog control for the fight stick for Street Fighter Alpha however it would revert back to analog everytime digital was selected. I suppose I can't really judge the stick until I get my hands on SFIV then. But its disappointing that its so hard to do the supers on the FS3 on Street Fighter Alpha.
I also tried out VF5 and it works great. Functional and does an acceptable job. Im a VF newbie so I don't really know any moves but its very responsive and did all my QC moves for Eileen and combos quite well stick and buttons. Its an acceptable stick to get for the very casual VF fan. _________________

Great idea to convert a 360 controller into a fight stick. He has done a great job by the look of the pics. _________________

It's really difficult for me to respond to this review, because I honestly haven't used anything like these sticks before but my experience seems to be completely different. I've found the FS3 (which I just received today and have been playing at for a couple of hours already) to be absolutely great on Street Fighter 4.
It's sooo much easier to pull off any type of move, be they charge or qcb super/ultras, and I've found everything to be super responsive without pulling off unintended actions on the stick. I play with the FS3 either in my lap or on a table in front of me, and the non-slip feet seem to work well when on the table.
In my lap it doesn't move anyway, and I don't really have an issue with its weight- haven't sent it flying or lost handle of it or anything like that (though I do have big hands and so it isn't going anywhere in a hurry).
My big (future) concern is going to be durability, the parts feel reasonably well made and certainly not like it's going to break any time soon, but I'll reserve judgement on that one until I've had time to really bash it around.
Either way, this stick was bought to tide me over until stocks on the better quality ones come in, but I'm actually really enjoying my experience with it so far. _________________

Yeah but no one's bought the X360 version, especially in Japan
Oh... and damn you I have to wait until June. Stupid suppliers not prioritizing Australia or where I placed orders. _________________

Really good to hear that it works a treat with SFIV. I think the problem was that the stick needs to work in digital mode, and it wouldnt switch to that in Street Fighter Alpha, it would only stay in analog mode.
On a side note I now have to wait till the end of the month to get SFIV cause CDWOW are being a nuisance.... Im thinking of just getting a refund and getting it locally - of course its nearly $30 more!! _________________

Rather than buying a Wii arcade stick, for the time being I'm using a PS2->GC controller converter and its working just fine. Its not having to use a classic controller for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. _________________

Absolutely stoaked that my order for 2 TE FightSticks actually came through from Capcom Store. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I really didn't have much hope for it coming, but it finally arrived after being in transit for 3 weeks.
Ended up costing $262 each after shipping. I only kept one of them, since the 2nd one was for my friend at work, so now I have 2 TE FightSticks (1 is from my GameStop order with Ciel that came in early February).

Lucky bugger....You actually managed to get them to go through. I bet if i ordered it while i was capped, i'd probably be able to process the order(I managed to not get a MSN virus because it wouldn't load up fast enough....which would mean in this case, the country shipping thing wouldn't of switched to US only because it wouldn't adjust fast enough =/)
