Ah man, Seth is tough with charge characters with the controller. Chun-Li took me about an hour on Seth (best of 3 rounds, medium), I eventually got him nailing with a super then ultra. But man, I've had to teach myself how to do super/ultra with the controller and it's friggin tough.
So cheap. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I'm conducting a 1-man boycott of the 'Beat Arcade on Medium with all Characters' achievement. I'm just not even going to attempt it, due to my wish to enjoy my time with the game. I thought Jinpachi in Tekken 5 was cheap, but he's nothing compared to Seth.
But as cheap as Seth is, funnily enough he, like everybody else in the game, is a breeze to take down spamming Zangief's spinning lariat, even on the hardest difficulty. You put a cheap move like that in the game and people will exploit it. Of course now if somebody online picks Zangief I'm very wary. I wouldn't sink so low as to do the Zangief spam online but many have taken it up.
Me, I'm doing my best to master Ryu. Through incredible luck I managed to beat his third Normal Trial last night. I think I'll have more success when I get my stick.

I found a hell of a lot quicker way to get lots of online ranked matches is to just start arcade mode with the interupts turned on. I was playing for about an hour or so and didn't even get past the vs screen once before I got into an online game. _________________

I've found Ken the easiest to master so far. It's a good feeling being able to bang together a combo, super combo then an ultra in one go. I'll have to put the time in though, I'm looking forward to unlocking Akuma.

I agree. I find it annoying yet highly addictive, you really can't have it switched on if you want to be playing on your own.
It's kind of annoying if someone challenges you and they have poor network signal, then it's all a bit of a waste.
Maybe in an update they could make it so you could reject the request based on network signal pre-quitting mid fight. _________________

Been playing this here and there over the weekend and man I HATE SETH!
Cheap ass bastard! Threw out a lot of "Mother Effers" and "Effing Effers" this evening really loud too.... Hope my neighbours didn't hear me..... 'x' I think my puppy got a little scared..... poor girl
Been playing only on Easy mode so far, as I went with Medium first up and I was surprised when I lost on the 3rd opponent..... shameful - I blame HD Remix..... 'x'
Playing this on a stick is pure bliss, though I still can't Shoryuken -> EX cancel -> dash -> Ultra combo/another move.... bleh....
As for using Zangief cheese, don't think of it as cheese. If you're playing to win, you should be using whatever move will win the match for you. This is the philosophy of David Sirlin (a top SF tournament player). Always press your advantage and never let up. Play to win.
EDIT: oh and I'm LOVING the music in this game! It's my kind of 90's cheese game music. Love the opening theme too. It's awesome on so many levels (in J-rap or English, LOL!)

I don't get Seth. He is like ultra hard to beat with some characters, but others a cake walk. I smashed him with E. Hondo on medium but with Chun Li I really struggled. I'm way way better with Chun Li as well.
God, this game is so addictive. I can't stop playing it. Only 2 months till I get my stick _________________ Shin J Leon.

There's so much Zangief hate in this game it's hilarious. Winning is a mindset. If you are defeated by the other guy spamming the same move over and over, the onus is on you to figure out to beat him, not for him to stop spamming it. Calling it cheap is just an excuse to make yourself feel better for losing
I consider myself a pretty good Zangief player in Melbourne SF4 scene and on the top players I rarely ever have the chance to land SPD or lariat on them. _________________ Let's Play! Super Robot Wars Z2

If you're having trouble beating zangief spamming, pick blanka and just go electric the entire time. (It worked in 2) _________________

Wow, I can't believe the amount of people complaining about Seth. I clocked the game yesterday on 'Very Hard' but the stupid game only has achievements for 'Medium or Higher' difficulty?! ! Wtf? Medium is piss easy. Very Hard wasn't really that hard (not as hard as hardest) but I still reckon I should've gotten an achievement for clocking it on Very Hard without continues. Oh well, I guess it's time to try and go for the 'Beat Gouken on Hardest difficulty' which not only means clock the game without dying on the hardest difficulty but you can't loose any 1st rounds and get about 2 perfects and 3 ultras (depending on how many rounds are set....best of 3 rounds is that particular requirements I posted).
Seriously....with Seth just keep jumping in and doing combos, it's that easy. Sure he may catch you with that stupid dragon punch of his but it's the most solid option imo.
I also unlocked all the characters. Gouken is pretty sweet....his Ultra combo is this HUGE 3 hit dragon punch! Man it looks awesome, the first hit buckles your stomach, the second one is on the jaw real hard and the third one launches you. The second hit just looks so awesome, try it on the different characters....I especially liked smashing Fei Long with it cuz he looked a little like John Arbuckle (of Garfield fame) when you smack him on the jaw. _________________

Maybe someone here can help me. I'm totally stuck on Chun-Li's 3rd trial (normal). I simply cannot do the Heavy kick into the thousand kicks...what is the trick to this, I must have tried it about a million times.
She heavy kicks him too far away, and by the time I can physically start the kicks, the combo link is over. Any pointers? _________________

^ Basically alternate the two buttons once you've gotten the first move out of the way. Jump in heavy kick and then heavy kick again and then hammer away at that button along with another kick such as medium of light. Basically it's the same as doind an EX version of her thousand kicks except you have to start with heavy kick button a fraction faster than the other button (the medium or light).
When you jump in the move doesn't have to go through the full animation so that's why it's easier to jump, plus you can start buffering that thousand kicks when you almost land. _________________

Just smashed Seth with C. Viper. If anybody is having problems finishing the game with her, first round double kick repeat and then in the 2nd just do the ground bash thing from long distance.
Love Cammy, she has been well ported across. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Its a real shame this game got spoiled with an out of balance character named Seth. Fuck me he is like the cheapest character in the game jesus! I have beaten him only 3 times on medium with ken ryu and saggot but that is because they have basically the same moves sigh.....
EDIT: The cheapest thing is when i play sakura i do that run and uppercut move and he throws ffs!!!!!! ARGHHHHH _________________

Just finished the game on the hardest difficulty using Sagat without losing a single round. The hardest difficulty isn't that much harder than hard so for those who can manage on hard, you can definitely get through hardest. Ugh is spot on when he says to just do combos against Seth. With Sagat I just jump high kick, crouching medium kick and fierce tiger uppercut most of time and it does the trick. Just make sure to keep some distance between him. Best time to attack is after his unloaded a few sonic booms and do a basic jumping high kick, crouching high kick, jump back to regain some distance.
I also beat the game on the hardest difficulty using Zangief only losing 3 rounds and losing no matches. I love doing combo's with him that lead to the throws. Try blocking that ****! I especially love he's super, it's so damn powerful! _________________

You have to keep your distance and smash him with super/ultra when you get a chance. He really isn't that hard once you get the hang of most characters. Don't jump in without an opening or you will get destoryed, then he will start teleporting around going into a cheap combo. If you stay on yoru feet here is pretty easy. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Haha how funny, Sunday I was playing (well chatting on Xbox Live while we played seperate games) with Zarnoss and he was complaining that it was hard to find games and I said 'WTF?' just play arcade mode, you won't get past the first VS screen.
Also the Japanese and English versions of that song on the title screen....IT'S THE SAME GUY!! I guarantee it! Lol! _________________
