it's already been said that cds were released in the mid '80s, so cd's were by no means new in 1996 when this cd came out...
the first cd i owned was John Farnham's Whispering Jack, in 1986, but we didn't get a cd player for another 3 years so i couldn't play it... it was a stupid gift...
the first cd i bought was INXS: X in 1990... when it was new... cost me about 2 months pocket money...
i also bought the Batman soundtrack around the same time, but i think X was the first album i bought... _________________

they actually changed their name to NKOTB just before they imploded... the cd was pseudo-gangster rap.... which is shithouse at the best of times... imagine 5 white pansies doing it and i'm sure you get the idea... _________________

Hehehe...Yeah a lot of my music was either received as a gift or something, or I just downloaded it. I very rarely actually buy them from the store.

I wouldn't be able to think of enough music that i like to be able to do that. I just download the music when i hear it, or someone is introducing me to a band. If I like it, i'll download more of their most popular stuff. And if it's really good after that, i'll consider buying some albums.

For the record, I'll say Poodle Hat by Weird Al Yankovic. That's as early as I remember. _________________ "Let me guess, you're one of those brothers who think you can get by with a wink and a smile."

my last album aswell ima mp3 man |
I bought VOLUME ONE.
I actually never really went through the "teenie bopper" phase at all as I was never really interested in music much until I was about 18. I did sell Triple J Hottest 100 Vol 1 though (as I didn't think much of most of it) so my first album that I bought that I have kept would be The Living End's debut album. I'd own about 30 albums. I find I usually like only select songs from most artists. (thank god for mp3s. Buying singles sucks!) _________________ Over and out..

I'm pretty much like that now. I consider it try before I buy.. I mean if it's good enough and I really like it I don't have a problem with buying it. _________________ Over and out..
