That's why the TR series is now going down in sales. The quality of the puzzles is still top notch. But because the new generation of gamers just want to shoot stuff and don't want to waste time critically thinking on how to solve a complex puzzle, or evade enemies without being detected that's why the TR series sales have been dropping. The quality of the puzzles have remained solid.
That's why games like MGS4, Splinter Cell and the likes don't sell as many copies as shooters like COD4, GOW2. Because whilst you have to stop and think what to do next in MGS, Splinter Cell, TR, you dont have to use your brain in games like GOW2 or CODWAW and the likes and so they are the most popular with the modern day gamers.

^ And another reason why MGS4 might not sell as well as cod is due to the reason cod is realeased on 3 major platforms whilst MGS4 is released on 1. duh. and gow just sells tonnes as its a major headline game. I have no idea what your on about.

With gears of war outselling MGS you have to take into account the fact that more people own a 360 then own a PS3. _________________

I think if they didn't pull content to sell later as DLC, and didn't release the game a week apart from Prince of Persia for like $30 more then maybe they would have sold more. I tried the demo and loved it but at $105 regular version or $120 or some bullshit for the collectors edition it's not that surprising it didn't sell well. _________________

contraversy sells ...kill lara.
introduce a more meaningful character with deapth and pearsonality and wrap it all up in a story that gives a shit. as for gameplay ... PoP and assassins creed were both enjoyable platfromers,so rip off one of them and then for gods sake get rid of the unlimited ammo on handguns and auto aim. i hate that shit. make it play like if RE4 and assassins creed had a baby
