It's going to feel really strange not pressing L1 to aim down the sight for those medium-long kills. Sadly thats one of the main things I'm worried about.

Just watch it. Sure the guy from IGN playing sucks at the game, but it's a first look at the final build of the game.
Edit: Just watched all of it, and this guy is terrible at the game. He isn't using the scope or the cover system, no wonder he isn't hitting anything.

It seems that the old 'ps3 has no exclusives' claim hasn't got much truth behind it these days.

I cant speak for everyone as I dont know but I havent said it about every major ps3 title so far. Ive loved Killzone since first playing it on the ps2. KZ2 was the MY reason for purchasing a PS3, every other minute of gaming goodness I have had with it has been a bonus for me.
On a side note ive started playing Killzone again to set the scene, with the amount of time I get to play games at the moment ill probably be able to finish it just before KZ2 comes out

So true, funny thing is last year I was saying PS3 has no games and no exclusives, but the thing is it has more exclusives than 360. Considering alot of the 360 games are on PC aswell, but PS3 exclusives are just that.
I actaully prefer the PS3 and the exclusive games over 360 now. Sony make better games IMO.

Zeldamario please, you've had a PS3 for a week and jumping around like a little girl.
MGS, LBP and Resistance 2 are great games but have been a bit of a flop in terms of sales.
I can understand the hype around this game but some of you guys are just dribbling crap and looking for any excuse to promote the PS3. Shooter of the year, game of the year? Shows how awesome the PS3 is? Please.
Anyway I'm looking forward to the reviews.

That its the reason they bought the system?
Its probably true for plenty of people . I bought mine for Metal Gear Solid 4, but i bought months befor the game came out. Great purchase, don't regret it.
@ LeonJ : I didn't know MGS4 was a flop as far as sales go. Any idea how many units it did sell?

Sure is a lot of hype about this game.
I'm not sure if I'll pick this up. It looks great, but that's not enough for me. Thing is, I don't play shooters
very often, so if I feel like I'm in a shooter-drought, I might go ahead and get it - its just that there's so many
other shooters out at the moment, all competing for attention. It'll probably come down to which game my
friends list is playing the most, sadly.

LeonJ Who are we promoting the PS3 to? Everyone that is involved with this thread most probably already has a PS3 and is interested in buying the game.
If it was in the general gaming thread I could understand your point but come on.......
I doubt many Wii or 360 only owners come in here because they really have no interest in something thats coming out on a machine they do not have. So that brings me back to my original question, who are we promoting it to??

I'm...obviously.. looking forward to this game, as it's one of and if not my most anticipated game in a long, long time. LeonJ knows this and a lot of the older members do, so obviously I'd show a little bias  And it was my main reason for purchasing a PS3.
But yeah, it still has a lot to prove. Having played it, I'm very confident that it's going to be balls-to-the-wall awesome, but that's just one level.

I must admit, before this console generation, I nearly detested First-Person-Shooters, but now out of the 17 or so games I have for the PS3, at least 15 are shooters I'm really hoping this is a good game, as for the talk on exclusives, the Ps3 is well on its way, and while some games were a flop sales wise, sales don't determine if a game is good or not, if Halo didn't sell, it would still be considered one of the most influential shooters of any console generation

Pfft, sales talk is rubbish to me, I prefer the big number at the bottom of a review, thats why I bought PES instead of FIFA 2002 all those years ago. It makes sense that 360 games are going to sell more, there is more 360s then ps3 consoles.
Besides, without seeming too offensive, looking at many past posts it seems that you look for any excuse to slag the PS3 off.

i'm a ps3-only gamer and couldn't give a rat's ass about this game.
all this talk of orignial IP, new ideas, and here we are frothing at the mouth over a game that's both an FPS and a SEQUEL.
