Yes, it is certainly time to turn the Wii back on. Even it's it's to play a what, 14 year old game that basically destroys all modern day action RPGs.
I'd actually like to think I bought the machine for a reason, this can be one.

Allow me to explain that. I don't have my Wii connected to the internet (actually, I should try it now since I got my 360 working online, had to configure something) and I got tired of Nintendo not updating their website telling us what was released on the Aussie VC. I found it difficult to find an Aussie source, I was always getting the Euro VC updates instead.
I recieved a few complaints as well since I made mistakes in the articles (mainly listing title X which wasn't released on the Aussie VC but the Euro VC). One week I actually forgot to do it since I became occupied with a review and, well, I haven't done it since. The VC updates were never assigned to me to begin with, everyone used to pitch in and do them. I guess we all got used to me doing them that when I stopped no one really said anything.
I'll see if I can get my internet working on the Wii again, I probably can now since I had to go through a similar process with my 360. If not, I'll speak to the other staff about assign it to someone who can commit. I'm sorry that we haven't been doing them, it's poor form on our part. _________________

Not a problem. Thanks for the prompt response as always.
Maintaining the bargains list would almost be a full-time job, with the addition of other reviews and the like anyway, so it's an understandable situation.
To be honest, I forgot about it, and haven't been into the shop channel for months (not since I downloaded Bomberman Blast anyway). But it was always nice having a quick little round-up of what was released, saving the rest of us from having to go in and have a look. I guess too, the PSN and Xbox Live Marketplace could do with some brief coverage on each release day, as their used to be.
We really appreciate all you guys do for us, considering how much it costs us to view this site!

Joseph, I remember once pointing out about a European title being listed when it was yet to be released here (Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition to be exact), and I hope you didnt find this a slight or complaint against your work because I didn't intend it to be. You're one of the hardest working PALGN crew here and your extensive efforts need only to be praised.
I agree that it's beyond a joke - trying to find a reliable Australian source that highlights each Friday's release is almost non existent, hence I created the Virtual Console / Wiiware Releases thread (which you can find here, doofus). I didn't do it to step on anyone's toes, it just exists as a solid reference for anyone who has had the same trouble as we have had in finding out what's available for our systems each Friday.
You or any of your newsposting brethren at PALGN are free to refer to it and use it as a basis for Virtual Console / Wiiware release related news posts. Infact, I insist. Because to me, helping out PALGN means helping out a great site + swell group of people; not to mention, a forum thread is hidden to many (non registered) people as opposed to a front page article with the potential to be accessed by everyone.
Once again, Im terribly sorry you felt like your efforts were being ignored but look at it as people being too busy to take in and appreciate your work, preventing them from actually telling you they miss it.

No no no, don't worry Jaws. It was more the fact I got sick of trying to find a reliable Aussie source.
BTW, I'll use that thread in future for VC updates. _________________

This game was great. I'm currently well on my way to finishing it again with my little brother.
Any sign of a 'Secret of Evermore' Virtual Console release?
