I'm not a casual, and I think they're interesting. It comes from years of reading sf and cyberpunk, and to have a virtual world to watch people in (i like to watch etc) is something that I'm interested in.

I'm not in the NXE thread talking about how ugly I think it is and then mentioning RROD, but you're in the Home thread mentioning how failure-destined it is and then bringing up bloody sixaxis/rumble.
You're just stirring shizzle for no rizzle, dizzle. |
Why not? Jump in. If you don't like something voice your opinion. Why sit in your only little forum corner and blow smoke up each others arse?
I play games all own 3 consoles and I certainly have my beefs with the other systems as well. If you don't like the NXE, great! Why not? I'd like to hear it? If it's a geniue complaint I'll probably agree with you. Like the stupid game pages take ages to load atm, I really hate that.
You guys need to take things a little less personally and look at things more objectively as a whole. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Unlocked more Namco things for Home:
- Namco shorts (male & Female)
- Namco Pac-Man t-shirt (male & female)
- Namco Pac-man arcade machine!
If you want to play the arcade, it appears to take you out of Home and load the Namco Museum BETA. The machine looks awesome. <3 Pac-Man. _________________

Well, I kinda view this particular set of DLC as an optional extra, not worth getting steamed up about. I mean, normally DLC is a bad thing because you've already forked out $80 for the game and you feel like you're paying for more.
Home is a free service. Its a The Sims MMO with 1000+ potential - that I didn't have to pay for! So I think $1.50 for a chair if I really need one, beats $99 for a complete Life Simulator, where I can't go and do the Running Man with a guy from Germany.
Their biggest mistake was making the default set of clothes and furniture look so awesome. Sif I'll ever need anything more! |
I dont think there is ever a situation where you really need a digital chair

The pricing of these items are idiotic and I would like to hear how Sony or anyone in charge could justify the price of those items, I was honestly hoping the price system would've been in the cents, going for the more selling mass amount of 'data' would earn a bigger profit. Hopefully they'll realize this in the near future. _________________

| PS3 Fanboy wrote: | Home patch fixes login issues this Thursday
Many of you have probably noticed that getting into Home since the open beta launch is something of a lottery. Chances are you'll be trying a fair number of times before you manage to sneak in. Thankfully, a patch is coming this Thursday which should fix that issue. So says SCEE community manager TedTheDog.
Hopefully this patch will be shortly followed by the release of some new content, which was announced last week. Namely, the Diesel and Ligne Roset shops, the Red Bull Air Race space, the Media and Events space and (for Europe) the Far Cry 2 and Uncharted game spaces. We're trying our best to find out what Sony's plan is for future content releases but, until we get an answer, it looks like we'll have to remain patient a little while longer. |

I've not been able to get into Home for quite a while now.
Although completely unrelatedly, I read somewhere that someone reckoned that having something plugged into the first usb slot would make it think it was controller one and would screw with trying to log into Home.
Kinda makes some vague sense I guess, and I do have the dongle for the wireless Buzz buzzers in slot 1. Will try taking that out later on tonight and see if it seems to make any difference. _________________

When Home wouldn't allow me to connect I would just leave Home and then go back into it. Bingo-bango, I was able to login. _________________

I normally try three times in a row. Everytime lately I get a black screen with the C-931 or C-991 error right when it's attempting the login. _________________

Ok, I want to test something.
I need someone that doesn't have the Namco Museum BETA installed on their PS3 to go into Home and I want to invite them to my place to play one of my arcade machines to see if it will work.
Any takers? _________________

I'll try it out...although won't be online for a couple hours yet probably...assuming I can get into Home when I remove the USB dongle. _________________

I got bored with Home about 20 minutes after I first booted it up. And that was in the brief period before they activated the pricing on the "premium" items. I have the summer home and as nice as it is, there's no way I would have paid eight bucks for it. _________________

^ Lol, so much hate for a Beta!
Shame in the video they didn't mention you could do other stuff than standing around...but I guess it wouldn't have been that funny if they went to the bowling alley, theatre, or played some chess hey? _________________

I see there's a 13MB patch to go to version 1.04 out now.
Which appears to mean a redownload of all the places like Home Square etc. again...42.6MB for Home Square..
Don't know what's changed yet.
EDIT: Hmm..lost my echochrome and icebreaker clothing items.. _________________

Fixing how people can't connect and disabling voice communication.
EDIT: Supposedly the Diesel and Ligne Roset stores are now open.
EDIT2: Yeah, I lost all my crap too.
EDIT3: Yup, those stores are there. $3.45 for a shirt?!? I'd rather go get a cold bottle of Coke. _________________

I just bought a clubhouse and i spent a good hour and a half decking it out with furniture and stuff that i had purchased from the mall.
I was very proud of myself (in a stupid sort of way) and went off to Square to chat to some people. Upon returning to my clubhouse - EVERYTHING had gone! Apart from my message board posts.
What the Hell is going on?!!
I tried 2 more times with just a couple of items and they disappear each time i leave and come back.
Can anyone help me? I can't find any save options.
Please!!
Al.
