On a forum I used to frequent, we did this once yearly, and it was just a bit of fun towards the end of the year.
I know PalGN staff usually do some sort of awards, but I thought this is a little different, in that it doesn't really have anything to do with fanboys and what not.
Here's the list of 'awards'.

ah true, but i guess as a mod, i kinda get updates on Theo's disappearance, so it wasn't so sudden, or mysterious.
(he posted in the mod forum that he wasn't going to be around for some indefinite period of time, and why, but that's his tale to tell when he returns.)

Nice incentive but I believe Cro's model is better. I honestly couldn't go through each category and give you an honest opinion without throwing in my usual opinion.
