Pretty sure PALGN does their database backups at 2am, which would probably be the cause of that error. _________________

Yeah, it happens every monday night during the backup and then the site is really freaking slow for a while. I've gotten used to it now.

Has there been any back-end changes since last week? For some reason PALGN is playing silly buggers over the past three days with request time-outs and pages half loading. It seems to be contained to only PALGN as the other sites I go to load as normal. Purging my cache fixes the issue for a while but today I had to purge twice in about five minutes

I am considering buying either a console - preferably PS3, or PC! I went to the recent Expo at Jeffs shed (Melbourne) and i must say that PC games graphics appeared a lot beter than console ganes. I want to use 37 inch HD LCD TV as the monitor. What do you reckon i should buy? and why? Thanks guys.

I'd suggest posting this over in the PC forum as it's more appropriate over there. _________________

A high end PC will always look better, one of the main reasons being that consoles output at a paltry resolution (depends on the game) compared to PCs.
Eg you can play CoD4 running at 600p on the 360/PS3, or 1920x1080 with AA on the PC _________________

Unfortunately, the podcast is on indefinite hiatus at the moment. A bunch of things have happened over the last few months that have pretty much killed the time we had available to get it done. In retrospect, it's almost been like an episode of Days of Our Lives - there's been new lives, deaths, new businesses, graduations, separations, family re-unions, and heaps of other stuff.
With absolutely no hyperbole, when I look back I'm actually blown away at how much has happened over the last few months!
We recorded a 'final' episode, but it got so maudlin that when we listened to it afterwards, we decided that it just sounded too sad to dump on people so close to Christmas.
It may be back at some stage, but there's no concrete plans at the moment. I know there's still strong interest in keeping it going, but we need to work out a new approach.

As for the banner user, I expect the label hasn't been removed yet. Mods can't keep track of everything at once (they try though!). _________________

Mods can''t change a User's banner, that's a job for one of our roving Admin monsters - I'm sure it'll be changed in short order. _________________

I've removed it, hopefully the user won't need it added again in the near future. _________________
