And that gets really old really fast - scrolling down and down and down... thankfully RB2 has lightning fast menus and a whole bunch of ways to order the songs and navigate through them.

Except PS3 drums...
Eyce, not sure if this is what Sambo is experiencing:
* I bought RB 1 from the US.
* I played it with my US account and could browse the in-game music store fine - showed me the DLC I had purchased and the stuff I hadn't was waiting to be bought.
* I played it with my AU account and when I went to the in-game music store, it showed up all the DLC as being already bought even if I hadn't.
I assumed that because it hadn't been released in Oz at the time, the system was getting a bit screwed when it tried to interrogate the DLC servers.
Looks like Sambo is having the same problem but in reverse - when looking at it in-game, it comes up with the "already purchased" for everything even if he has bought nothing. _________________ GAMEparents

I did, but there are only like 10 in there, and apparently I should have quite a few, like most of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers ones.

I was able to revel in ONE song as a complete foursome.
Halfway through the second, the Guitar Hero axe broke a string: became un-synced with the dongle never to sync again. It tries and fails. Playstation on, off, on the moon and whatever.
What did I do bad? Plugged it into the RB usb hub instead of port 1? Is that really ****ed worthy?
I wont be telling customer service that!
Maybe they're built to self destruct used with the competition's game!

Rock Band 2 - Pal (UK) $82.95 including shipping from CD WOW!
http://www.cdwow.com.au/Rock-Band-2/product/view/3855884
I'm thinking about getting this. Sorry if it has been asked before, but will there be any issues with DLC, online play or anything like that since it is not AU PAL?
I have had a read through the last few pages of this thread but I'm still confused. I think it should be fine, but if anyone can give me a definite answer, that would be great. _________________

First off ... if you are being a smart-arse then damn you!
Otherwise, that sucks ... sorry to hear it.
BTW ..... I just got an email from Activision saying that they will be sending out my midi-USB cable shortly to tune the GH:WT drum set. Nice of them to keep me informed.
EDIT: Thanks melike. Yeah it's not a bad price considering how bad the $AU is doing. _________________

I already beat a Band Tour in GHWT last night... way way short! They don't even *make* you do the majority of songs! The set list order (and the mixing of songs within one set) is absolutely horrible. The final set was ridiculously lame and easy on expert. La Bamba? WTF...
Even the Dream Theater track in the credits was boring and a waste of time. I am so disappointed in GHWT I'm not sure I can even keep playing it. Every time I play it with friends I just hate it more _________________

I wish I was joking. It doesn't register every time I hit the bar now, which could have something to do with how I play, I play bass style, so two finger style (three or four for fast stuff) however, because of that I can be pretty vicious on the button, it's the bass way. Luckily if I do have to send it away I've always got drums to fall back on, mine seem fine in terms of tuning which is awesomeness.

^ That's terrible, is that on the new guitar that came with World Tour?
Have you been to the support website yet? I posted the link on page 9. You should be able to get a RMA note and send it back to them. _________________

Yeah, new guitar. It works if I downstrum, just not when I upstrum, which is how I naturally play so there are "issues" there. Meh, I'll just send it away and get a new one which I'll be a little more careful with.

Guitar still broken, but the vendor said they'll replace it so I don't have to send away and wait weeks by the mailbox. gooD.

Yeah, I did. I hope I still get it sent to me and soon, though I have contacted them to find out what the deal is since it no longer seems to be listed. _________________

Woo played it today for the first time (world tour) and have to say its awesome . managed to beat the final song on my first try, even with the new slidey thing, but only because i had full star power the whole time . I liek the idea of the new slidey thing but its so-long to the days of the insanely hard solo which people would take months to beat to a little slidey thing. Overall its awesome.
However not all is good. after getting 96% on singing expert in rooftops I have resigned to the fact i may sound like a whingie emo.

Wank Strip sections are easier to hit with buttons than the slide strip.
The strips are just way too delayed and inaccurate and there's no real idea where your fingers are- it could do with a little indentation on the yellow bit to be honest.
That being said, using the buttons in those sections is brilliant. Happily removing my hand during the Crazy Train solo and using my second index finger to hit it is really really great for gameplay. _________________

Okay, my brother wants Rock Band 2 before Christmas. Does anyone know where I can import the instruments + game? Must be PAL. I've checked a few online retailers but none of them seem to have any of the instruments.
Cheers.

I am considering importing Rock Band 2, can I export my Pal Rock Band songs to a US copy of Rock Band 2? And if I do, what songs does it export?

I managed to complete GHWT on Expert (guitar) only failing the intro of Hot for Teacher twice. I'll have to go back to unlock all the other tracks now but I'm running low on GHWT fuel I'm thinking about picking up RB2 in the near future but I'm also tempted to wait before I burn out on these music games. 3 in 6 months is a bit much! _________________

Ok, I am still wondering my question from 2 posts up, but is there anywhere I can import Rock band 2 for cheap? It's over $100 for the game only everywhere I look, so is there anywhere to get it cheap
?

When you import your RB1 songs to the HDD, it acts exactly like DLC.
So naturally, it will work on imported RB2.
To Jim, don't bother importing the RB2 instruments, it will cost you in excess of $500. _________________

So will that be every song, even the ones included with the game? If it is, I might sell the first and just get the second. And would the Pal work with the NTSC?

The Rock Band 1 on-disk songs will be all transferred to the HDD aside from Paranoid, Run To The Hills and Enter Sandman when you pay for the export license. _________________
