Emulators and ROMs go hand in hand. Can't use an emulator without a ROM. |
I have used an emulator on my old PC with legit copies of Playstaion 1 games so not all people who use emulators are evil. _________________

To run PlayStation 1 games an emulator needs BIOS and you can't get those legally. And don't worry I'm not Mr. Morals, that's how I know all this. _________________

"What happened to Cloud03?"
Good question <member>, it seems that a certain person thought it a fool-proof plan to create an alternate account on the same IP, dig up old topics in an effort to post to exactly 25 in total (the minimum number needed to vote, curiously), then proceed to exclusively plus posts by ZeroX03.
Preempting the inevitable outcome that the account's surely owned by a brother, mother or significant other, I'm detailing this all here to make a little point to people - I know I said before we're only human, but we're humans with like three eyes or something, one of which sees through your trickery and deviance. Abuse of the voting and $poon system is not tolerated. Please re-read the rules if this is somehow unclear to you. _________________

I was just looking looking at the list of exhibitors for this years eGames expo in Melbourne and noticed PALGN wasn't listed there. You guys were there last year so any chance of another stall this year? _________________

Yes. We weren't sure for a while since neither Luke or myself will be able to organise it this year, but some of the staff have taken over the baton to ensure PALGN is there (and it looks like they're going to do a much better job than I did).
More information will be forthcoming.

Great stuff! I visited briefly last year but seeing that I was still a major PALGN lurker at the time, I didn't really know anyone. Would be great to personally get to know the team behind PALGN and the users. Not to mention the great exposure to your target demographic and market by attending _________________

I have been having issues with topics not registering that I have viewed them. I literally have to 'mark all topics read' to stop the little orange icons. I was just lured into the Game Exchange to see an unread post which turned out to be mine I had just posted. Umm, huh?
Is it something wrong with my computer/browser or others experiencing this? _________________

There's been discussion about that on previous pages of this thread. It seems to be a cookie issue. I suggest you switch to choc-chip.

The opposite of what Charly said seems to happen to me sometimes. When I came on to the forums today, there's only an orange mark over the PAL Gaming Talk board, despite the fact that the rest of them have new posts (since I was last on) as well. _________________

I was wondering when the winners for the Too Human competition are going to be announced.
It's been over a month since the competition ended and other competitions that finished later have had their winners announced. _________________

I could be wrong, but I swear it's been there for at least three weeks. |
I posted that Friday October 24 on the previous page. But now the coming soon previews section has gone altogether.
So yes, I too wonder where the winners announcement might be.

I have some suggestions for the "Mark all topics as read" feature >_>
1) Don't have a page telling me I just clicked it, because I know that and its a waste of several seconds, which when you click it as much as me builds up.
2) After it's clicked, redirect straight to the index page instead of the forum they were just on. If they marked the whole thing as read, there isn't going to be anything new there.
3) Add a mark all forums as read option, so I can make them all read at once.
And this next one is a little bit different:
4) Add an 'ignore topic' button on the topic list in forums so that topics that get a lot of posts, but that some of us don't care about do not flag as new posts, so that we don't waste time going into the Sony forum just because someone said they love Little Big Planet.
Kthx! _________________

This already exists, it is under the box containing all the forums on the index page on the right hand side in small font.

I've always saved myself the trouble to the "mark all posts as read" thing and ignored the entire forum. _________________

Can someone please look into the negative rep bombing that occured overnight from user "nintyfanboy" as they have negged a lot of users including myself with no reason which is quite unfair _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

Has anyone else noticed that the site seems to struggle a bit late at night, it seems like it takes forever for pages to load and sometimes come back with a timeout message. Only seems to happen late at night, like 2am. Anyone else noticed or am I just crazy?
