Pretty sure, it was at EB with no price matching. I traded in fallout 3 had enough money to fully pay for Banjo Kazooie and put 50 bucks on PoP.

All the Americans who had their pre-order cards have been playing the original N64 game today. Gonna be a struggle to decide which to play more, the new one or the old one!

Has anyone heard if there are any pre-order cards available in Australia yet? I want this more than Nuts and Bolts so it'd be great to get that going first before N&B comes out!

I was talking to a guy from my work who also works at an EB and he said that they apparently aren't getting the codes til the launch of the game. He knew because he wants it too icon_razz.gif

I played the demo, and almost cried.
I hated it to bits. The visuals were beautiful, atmosphere was great, music was catchy but all I wanted to do was platform. How many good platformers are on 360? Who the hell wants a half-arsed shopping trolly racing game? Not being able to read any of the text doesn't help either.
Every mission I tried involved some kind of stupid vehicle building crap, all I wanted to do was run around and explore.
Good on them for trying something different I guess, but keep Banjo where he belongs I say. In a bloody platformer!

Woah, sorry. Banjo- Kazooie remains one of my favourite games of all time and I tried so very hard to like this but overall it just felt like a slap in the face for me.
Can't wait to download BK arcade though, that'll be sweet.

THIS GAME IS DIFFRENT TO WHAT I EXPECTED

Have a teary why don't ya. If you stopped focusing on the old game you'd realise that it's actully pretty damm fun game. I mean I loved the 64 games, they were some of the first games I ever played that got me into gaming. But making vehicals and completing challenges is really fun.

Yeah I really really tried man(like 2 hours of messing with it trying). It's just not my cup of tea. The actual building of the vehicles I found was really clever and quite fun, but the actual challenges you use the vehicles in bored the hell out of me.
It was okay, but like I said before I wanted a platformer. I over-reacted in my post a bit, but I am quite dissapointed in it.

EDIT: You negged over an opinion? Bugger you buddy!

I kinda agree with Putrefied Goon. I'm am not convinced that the vehicles are a good idea, and the demo only reinforced my fears. Having said that, I'll reserve my final judgment until I've played the full game for a while. I've pre-ordered and don't plan on canceling it any time soon.

so, if I pre-order today will I still get the pre-order bonus (i.e. Banjo 1) because otherwise it's not really worth it...

and, if the above answer is a yes, is it worth asking them to price match + give me my bonus when I pick it up, or should I not even bother?

If you pre-order it today (or yesterday) it is still a pre-order because it isn't released yet. It won't hurt to try and ask for a price match. I think that JB is selling it for $64 and EB is $69, so as long as it's in stock they should price match. Pre-order bonuses shouldn't factor in.

I have managed to score a code for Banjo 1 and I had a good run through! It's exactly as you'd expect and I loved every second of it. Probably wont even bother with Nuts and Bolts until next year at this rate, but damn it's a good price at least!

BK is such an amazing game and to know we get Tooie as well! Who cares if they probably ruined BK3 icon_razz.gif

I still haven't gotten around to pre-ordering, do you think there's any chance I can get a code if I do it today or tomorrow?

Also the JB near me has nothing advertised about receiving B&K when you pre-order, only EB. Guess I'll have to go there...

My eb rang me up just now and said it is in. You might want to check around the stores if you want to get it early. However now I don't know if I can price match it if no other stores have it out. Does anyone have an official cheap price at other stores?

Can't wait to play the original BK again.

Most JB stores got sent a bunch of the pre-order cards so if u are picking ur copy up from there be sure to ask as they will most likely be sitting out the back.

and its either 64 or 59, cant remember which
