Is deathknight the only hero class? Be pretty funny if you just see a tonne of death knights running around.

Yeh pre-orders were officially cut off early monday morning for the title. That said i canceled mine last week - bit the bullet and uninstalled wow.

they might have actually sold out of CEs before the CE was even announced.
unless something has changed in the last 2 days (when i last spoke to a mate who's an EB manager), no one has any idea what the stock situation for the CEs will even be. they're ringing up people who have pre-ordered already offering CEs that mightn't even exist.
it happened with BC too, i was initially rung and told i would have a CE if i wanted to upgrade, but closer to release when the actual numbers came in, they had to re-ring people and say that stock was shorter than expected, and i missed the cut-off date on the "first come, first serve" scale.
i'm actually surprised they didn't learn anything then not to promise stock that mightn't be there.
on the flipside, if Activision-Blizzard decide to produce more CEs this time around, it's possible they'll be able to ring up more people to offer them CEs.
that said: Blizzard CEs are always worth the extra, so if you're even remotely interested in Diablo 3 or StarCraft 2, best bet would be to order it now. can always decline a CE if it's not to your liking. (had both of these on order since the day they were announced too.)

Wow I havent played WoW for years, but another family member does, and I walked past the screen to see their new main menu screen...
and it looks bloody fantastic! Ive been waiting ages to see another menu screen as good as Warcraft 3's and WoW's is close!
so tempting to put the game back on after Year 12 is over... but I must.... resist....... gargh..!

Got my CE secured 100% 
But yeah, 3.0.2 is pretty awesome. Loving the new rogue talents, and now Combat Swords Spec is even more powerful than before and proves why it's the best for maximising PvE DPS. Mutilate looks pretty nice though, especially with Turn the Tables.
And what the hell with Pallies? They've turned into absolute beasts. Ret pallies are useful! What is going on?!
But yeah I'm absolutely pumped for WotlK now. With new talents, a whole extra 10 levels to add to and 10 man Naxx, yeahhh I can't wait

I tried out the new Warrior prot tree in Gruuls and Heroic Slave Pens over the weekend and I'm loving it! The changes to Imp ThunderClap and Shockwave (love it!) make multi mob tanking a breeze
Also Vigilence is fantastic! It's a 30 minute single target buff that a prot warrior can give to a party member, then that member generates 10% less threat and reduces any damage they take by 3% and transfers it to the warrior. The 10% is huge and during one 5 mob pull in Slave Pens when I had Vigilence on the hunterm, the hunter couldn't pull aggro from me for a freeze trap. I think I let Shockwave off too early

Unfair advantage is awesome.
Just throwing that out there.
Also can't wait for Wotlk when I'll be able to get Chimera Shot and Locked and Loaded.
Been doing the horseman, and holy shit I didn't realise how much better we've gotten since last year.
Last year we were having trouble with him and occasionly wiping. This year he doesn't even get to summon the pumpkins, he get's owned before he can do anything.

^OH hell yes Unfair Advantage rules. Blade Flurry, Slice and Dice, Evasion then Killing Spree = oh my god at the AoE damage especially when Unfair Advantage also kicks in. Hitting 1017 dps on average!
Also did a Kara run last night in under 2 hours. Was ridiculously easy as well, 9 manned the entire lower levels. Has to have been nerfed, we downed Maiden in 37 seconds

Combat Rogues represent, I'm loving Killing Spree, loving it like a dying brother ( ); it's certainly making the classic dungeon achievements easier. I'm really going for classic dungeon master; doing the Stormwind instance was a bitch, took three times as long to get inside as it did to finish the damn thing.

I don't know if I've already missed the pre-order discussion part of the thread, but what's with the lack of bonuses?!
As the games manager at my Harveys store I was interested to see what everyone else was doing and the only people offering something is game with a free poster coming with a $10 deposit..nobody is even offering the traditional $10 down, $10 off.
Surprisingly, we have the only offer going around, at least in WA. Every pre-order comes with a bonus wooden box and, at least in Malaga, we WILL do the $10, $10 off. Effectively you pay $10 deposit and the game is discounted so its being sold for $49!
I can't speak for the other stores, but tell them to price-match with me

Yeah we ran Zul Aman last night, we've never been able to beat lynx or dragon. If the Bear mount was in it last night we would have had 10 minutes spare to get him.
After that we 8 manned ony.

I would guess because the demand is high enough that there's no need for it. I mean, either you want the CE in which case you're kinda stuck with options, or you want the standard, in which case you may as well just mosey down to JB or big W and get it for whatever cheap price they put it at on release

i logged onto 3.0.2 to have over 250, and missed out on most of the dungeon and heroic achievements.
i love that Aldor Rise has so many corpses at the bottom for all those people trying to get that one achievement.

ive gotten back into the WoW bandwagon and have rolled up a gnome warlock and a night elf hunter on the emerald dream server.
im keen on the new achievements etc and have never tried pvp rp servers before, bring on the hurt.

Iceblock works, slow fall doesn't.
and theoretically, a warlock sacrificing their VW should also be able to take the fall.
i actually leapt off Loch Modan into Wetlands, only to discover you need to land on land, not in water.

if i remember, i'll take a screenshot - although i did realise later that things like the "get 10 mounts" and "get 10 vanity pets" obviously weren't triggered until i added them to my keyrings - and i counted those.
i guess the reason why i had so many is due to the wait for BC. my guild stopped raiding when 2.0 went live, so for s**ts and giggles, i went and tried to explore all the maps, and i succeeded for all bar 3-4 zones in classic, and had explored all of Outlands (and then the 2 BElf start-zones i haven't been to on my main either), so there were a whole heap of achievements there.
and then i grinded exalted with the alliance factions.
