hey guys, i have never played a res evil game before but have wanted to, esp the new gcn versions
i can get an ntsc version (i have a ntsc machine) for 52AUD... should i buy it? and which is the better one? REmake or RE0???

Definately get Resident Evil Remake first. I enjoyed the game immensely. Plus you should play it first because you'll enjoy the games better if you play them in the order they were released. If you play the prequel (RE0) it actually spoils the sequel. I know that sounds weird but trust me... play REmake first. I found it the better game. Much more atmospheric and scarier. RE0 is still very good though.
And if you go to www.dvdboxoffice.com you can get it way cheaper. I get most of my NTSC games through them. Free shipping too. REmake is around 50 bucks Australian now!

I prefer RE0...The main reason would be some of the new gameplay elements...REmake is still a good game but I find RE0 a slicker package overall...
Just a hint, if you order from DVD box office and the game has already been released then you will be waiting a very looooooooooong time before it ships...

yeah, thx for ur feedback guys. i always order off dvdboxoffice  apart from my zelda and bonus disc. Anyways, this was cheap on ebay and the seller lives on the gold coast while im in brisi, so he shipped it today. should get it tomoro 
PS. would rather pay 5 dollars more to not wait 2+ weeks.

If it's your first RE game id say go with REmake.
1. Its not as hard
2. You'll appreicate RE:0 all the more by playing RE1 first.

REmake is by far the better choice. Resident Evil is very heavily based on atmosphere, and RE0 doesn't capture that atmosphere quite as well as REmake did.
Also, it sets the story far bettet than RE0 does.

Personally, I absolutey loved the game-depth of Resident Evil Remake as a whole and it just grab my little head into the games story and I couldn't stop playing the game till I finished it over and over again. I've played remake 12 times now and I've finished Resident Evil Zero um... Zero times Perfect hey? The game hasn't grabbed my attention as much as Remake, so go with remake in my opinion. It's absolutey one game that you must have for your collection. I'm not saying REZero is bad though, maybe rent that game first and then decide to buy it or not. This is simply just a Resident Evil fans point of view
