Half the stuff won't even be available in Australia, and I don't care about Avatars.
I'm fine with what we've got now.

Hmm, I thought this update was meant to include support for widescreen 16:10 resolutions? I've been waiting for that for a while - using the 16:9 makes everything ever so slightly stretched vertically.

What's the price point for these full movie streaming? What happens if your connection drops out half way through? or there's a blackout? Do you have to pay again? Not sure what % of 360 owners even actually connect to the net, and then, how much of those actually pay for Gold sub? Or even buy anything at all from Live.
I don't have Gold, and never bought anything from them ever. Neither have four of my friends who has a 360 (that's total of five). Obviously doing a survey like this on a gaming forum like Palgn would have marked kurtosis against the overall 360 owning population...

Yeah i'll be interested in this when they actually start to get AU movie downloads sorted out. Such a crock restricting that to the US!

I found that 'interactive walkthrough' to be
nothing more than a bunch of marketing BS.
I got a irate and had to leave.
As it hints above, those butholes at Xbox Live
really don't seem to have a clue as to how the
rest of us like to party up and play games.
Every 'improvement' to the dashboard so far has
exposed users to more 'promos' and enabled them
to link to shop items from more places on the blades.
On top of that, they buried My Games further in
the UI.
Now what are they doing? Adding a bunch of fluff
to an already bloated UI. Fun, fun, fun!
I'm happy the dashboard is getting an update,
but I don't like the direction they're taking it.
I hope I'm wrong and that the New Xbox Experience
makes my world brighter just like they promised.

Not really, the old dashboard was crap IMO and I'm looking forward to something new... but I want it to be at least better than what they already have and from everything I've seen so far it looks like it'll be worse .

I agree with you Shufti, but I think the *TRUE* test for partying up for gaming sessions lies in the in-game blade. As long as that part is *solid* we should be good. Plus the idea of creating a room and inviting a virtual party is good. My concern about the friends list is it being too messy. Hopefully they will have a list like it currently is.
It needs an overhaul and I like what I see so far. I think the big thing here is organising the content in a more user friendly way and adding Mii like functionality.
I also like the idea of being able to shop on Marketplace on a PC. Hopefully you will be able to buy content/kick off downloads from your PC.
You know what I really want. Schedules on my downloads. That would be great. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Looks pretty nifty, though I still think it ultimately looks like a Power Point presentation (M$ way to subconciously advertise their office products?) the great thing which I found pretty neat is that they were able to scrap it all together and make something new, unlike previous consoles you were normally stuck with the look but if it can continue to change such as this, they might alter it depending on people's choices. Just a pitty your forced to upgrade and couldn't keep the blade system if you preferred it. _________________

Major Nelson said a while back that you will be able to buy content and kick off downloads remotely from the web, providing your x360 is turned on obviously (which kinda sucks coz i dont like leaving mine on)
As for the Schduled downloads, I agree with you that would be great, but I doubt we will get it. US dont have quota limits and peak/off peak download times so they dont really need it. And we all know if the US dont need it we wont get it!
As for the update, im half looking forward to it and half not. I wont know until I have used it. Although I dont like the avatars at all. Apparently you dont need to use them though. _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82
