The game looks absolutey awful that's why I'm buying it.... not!
The only reason why this game is going to sell big is because of it's image it has had in the film business, altogether the game probably isn't much.

I think the game's story and stuff is cool, just it plays like, like crap really.
My goal is to beat it in the next ten days and take it back and excange it for Ikaruga.

I have completed the game as Ghost (PC Version) and I've got to say I quite enjoyed it. After having watched the Animatrix and played through Enter the Franchise.. I mean Matrix, I think I enjoyed the film even more.
But we're talking about the game here. I can't comment on the POS2 version, but the PC version looks pretty nice. Sure, the animations are a little ropey in "real time" but when Focussed (bullet-time mode for the rest of you) the animations flow together rather nicely and look great.
There are a few control issues, and accidently running up, and backflipping from, a wall and off a ledge can become tiresome after awhile, but all in all the on-foot levels are great.
The PC version has MAJOR issues with the car driving sequences, though I understand some of these are corrected with the recent patch. The other big issue is aiming - using the sniper rifle in particular, is excruciatingly painful. Again, I understand that this is somewhat corrected in the patch.
What I have to say, though, is that the best thing about the game is how it complements the movie so well. THIS is how a Movie License should be treated - it's not a spin off, it's not a reinterpretation, it's a nicely scripted side story. Any time a scene is alluded to but not shown in the movie, chances are you'll play through it in Enter the Matrix. Nicely done. The PC version also doesn't suffer from the (so I'm told) problematic FMV issues of the POS2 version - we get nice full screen prettiness (and doesn't Persephone look great in latex?).
All in all, it's an enjoyable game, not without it's problems, but as a story-builder for the Matrix universe, it scores tops points and provides quite a few hours of kick-ass kung-fu action.
Best parts? The scenes set inside the Merovingian's Chateau, and getting to spar with Trinity when playing Ghost. YAY! _________________ "Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot." - Bruce Wayne

You're right... The PS2 has at least one excellent feature in it's favour - it's not a Gamecube... _________________ "Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot." - Bruce Wayne

Very little, I played through as Niobi (that kiss scene was pretty damn cool) and Ghost (at last someone didn't have to take two goes, his was the better game, more information about the character than Niobi). Both games felt too similar, say like as Ghost you should have been tortured and rescued by Niobi, still wasn't too bad.
Ikaruga is awesome I like playing two player. Wario Ware is insane, best GBA game since Megaman Battle Network (I enjoyed it).

The Niobe Persephone scene I didn't find to enthralling (c'mon dudes with short hair and that angry look on her face she looks like a guy). Its an *alright* game. I hired it overnight and finished the game with both Niobe and Ghost. Its worth playing through simply for the story, although as Arma said they are way too similar. Ghost's story was alot better however with him getting to fight Trinity, him seeing the Oracle and meeting Agent Smith all cooler than anything I saw in Niobes game. (Alright alot of stuff was the same, but Ghost is just a cooler dude). Too bad he loves Niobe, who loves Morpheus, but is still banging Jason. (why didn't he get a cool techno name?)[/quote] _________________ Large Cheese Pizza, Hold the Thrush.

Spoilers (highlight to read):
Uh I think your missing something there...he loves Trinity. And Jason is presumably dead (he didn't get a cool techno/mythical name because not all of them do, just those who believe it seems).
Edit: Oh yeah I did in the end beat it and take it back, the only thing I didn't do was unlock the sword, cause I couldn't seem to find it.

Because its not a game you can see yourself playing over and over again once you have finished it. You pretty much finish it once and thats it. _________________ Large Cheese Pizza, Hold the Thrush.

Summer 2004, developed by Monolith.
I have no faith in the developer, as their track record is very hit and miss.

The Matrix Online no doubt will be rubbish. Although I have no faith in MMORPGs, no doubt we will have to be killing the machine equivalent of rats for months until we get to see anything half decent in The Matrix Online, and it is meant to be like the fourth movie. So that probably means we are either going to be rebuilding zion (unlikely since when someone signed on a year in they would have missed too much) or still fighting against the machines (likely). At any rate I hope it is good but have little faith.
