I suppose this question boils down to - Did you learn an instrument at school?

But moreso, do you have musical sense? I began learning the piano for a few years until I ditched it for an oboe. I'm undertaking my Grade 6 Oboe exam in 2 weeks. I suppose I have quite a bit of musical sense, while I don't study theory, I can transpose almost any music I hear and play it on the piano. Not very difficult, although many of my friends find it so.

So who here has encounted music?

Woah, you sound pretty good.

I learnt drums for two years, and, I'm as good as you'd expect for that length of time. I never practiced enough, though. And I barely touch my drums these days. If I had digital ones in my room, I reckon I'd play em heaps. Meh.

I can play virtually any drum beat by ear, and some fills with some careful listening.

I can also play about 3 guitar riffs.

I always wanted to play the guitar, but never got around to it. icon_confused.gif

And I also got into drums, which I also didn't learn. icon_confused.gif icon_confused.gif

I have pretty much zero musical talent, and that's the way i like it. I'm far to busy doing nothing to learn any instruments or any crap like that.

Well, I'm not sure about being talented, but I did grade 1 violin, grade 2 Piano. I do guitar (both electric, and acustic), and I'm taking grade 3 in a couple of weeks icon_smile.gif .

I've played recorder, violin, and drum kit. Never stuck with one for more than a year. At the moment, my mum is teaching me piano.

I tried to learn the flute in Primary School, but they wouldn't let me have one of the school ones, so there went THAT idea. -_- But when I was at High School I did drums from grade 8 to 11, and Clarinet in 11 and 12. Can still pick up most drum beats and stuff in songs, if I listen hard enough.

I've never played an instrument before, but i'd love to learn to play the electric guitar. As soon as i get a job, I'll have to save up for one.
I can't sing either, but I can do some decent death metal vocals icon_cool.gif icon_twisted.gif

I started playing the drums in year 8, was in a couple of small bands , nothing serious, alot like my drumming talent.

I havent really played the drums for a while but im always tapping and making beats... so i thought i would change my title from "Drummer" to "Percussionist"
