Anyone got any idea on how much this will cost and when it will come out?

It had a release date of August 21st on the AU Playstation website but got removed, though wikipedia says 21st as well though credibility of wikipedia is questionable.

Will it come on Bluray Disc like PSN games such as Warhawk & GT5: Prologue are also available on Bluray Disc?

I hope it comes on Blu-ray. I'm pretty sure PAL regions will be getting it on Blu-ray (unlike the US). Also, it is listed on EB Games' website which gives me hope. Not sure on a release date here though.

Yeah, all PAL regions are getting a Blu-ray and PSN release. Since the game is like a third of the length of TOD, the game will be a fair bit cheaper. Well, not now in seeing as TOD is platinum. Actually, knowing our country we'll be probably paying more for it.

Well the weekly PS Store update has hit us and Ratchet and Clank: QFB appears on the UK and US store, but not on the AU store. The OFLC classified it on 16th July, so why the delay? We had a delay for Siren as well. Look, I'm happy to wait... but AU is not always mentioned in release announcements as we are often tied to the European release dates... just an accurate announcement is all we ask!

2.3--->3.2gb.

its btw 2.3 or 3.2gbs or so I've read. I really hope the blood thing can resume because I don't want it to come down the line, fail and then restart. I'll grab it at night with my cap++

That's the BIGGEST problem with massive sized DLC content - 3.2gb is a lot of bandwidth. and a lot of harddrive space.

In that case I think i will wait. Hopefully it is $5 cheaper in the stores just like how GT5: Prologue is like $10 cheaper than the PSN.

Seriously if one were to purchase on the PSN they should be paying less as the business does not have to print manuals, press discs etc.

I think this whole digital delivery is going in the wrong direction.

wouldnt that make it unfair on those who dont have the ps3 connected to the net? not everyone wants their details on the net. also the rrp would be the same as the psn but retailers usually sell it less then the rrp so thats why you see them less on disc.

Nah i agree should be $10 cheaper online than it is in stores imo. Plus buying online you are buying direct from Sony so no other company to make margin on it.

Having said that i think id rather own the box etc..... anyway I havent finished the current R & C game on PS3 yet so I wont be downloading this.

It is nearly $10 cheaper on the US PSN. If stores really do have an RRP of $24, then you could probably find it for $15 maybe, which is a steal. Well, sort of considering it is only 4 hours long.

I just paid for it and am currently grabbing it from the US store. About $17, all said and done. - about the price of a movie so that's not so bad.

I do doubt you'll find the disc at retail for $15 though. We'll see. I'm guessing it'll be $25 as well.

*played about 2 hours or so of it. Quick impressions.

* don't think the visuals are much improved over TOD. about the same I think. The water might be better and some caves had a nice shiny/shader look.

* game is kind of hard. I'm playing on normal and kept dying

* same old good + fun ratchet combat + weapon upgrading - fun!

* new techniques that expand the gameplay a bit.

* TOD gave me this "ho-hum" ness to its gameplay (familiarity) and this is very much the same.

its quite more-ish - had to stop playing because I wanted to stretch it out. I wonder where I am now with regards to completion.

^How do you buy off the US store without a US CC? Do you use one of those websites that set up a virtual CC or something? If so can you link?

The trailer on PSN says "exclusive to PSN" so maybe its not coming out in stores?

Benc,

This is it: http://palgn.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=29993

I made a thread about this - be aware that if you buy a US game - trophies (which R+C does not have), will not work with your australian account - I learnt that lesson with PJE + SSHD (both with trophies, don't work with the US account - both games are from the australian store) but I do use my US account to game with the most.

Yeah spewing that it is $23 for a substantially smaller-than-standard game. I was initially pre-empting that it would be around $15, boy was i wrong and boy am i not getting it at that price.

Also I think it's totally unfair that we are paying so much more for an item like quest for booty than other regions. I mean it's DLC for crying out loud, there's practically no manufacturing costs seeing that it's not on a physical medium, yet still we pay so much more for DLC than other regions while fundamentally the game is the same. I mean there's no shipping costs and such, technically all we should be paying for is the game itself.

Actually, that's not true. I bought PJE on the US store and play it through my AUS account and I'm getting trophy unlocks as they happen. I'm not sure what's going wrong with your accounts though.

I don't know if this will work or not but try going into your download history in the PSN Store and activating the problem games again. To activate, just hit download, wait for it to activate and then cancel out of it before the download begins.

I had some issues with just about all of my PSN game after I upgraded my HDD and this solved the problem. I know it's not the same thing but I'm it's worth a try at the least.

I deleted SSHD and regrabbed it. Also deleted the save and cleared the first world again. No trophies for it for the game when using US playerid. Worked fine with my AUS account.

PixelJunk came out after trophies was implemented and had it implemented day 1. I grabbed the AUS version and played it on my US account for hours. No trophies. Played on AUS account. got like 7 or 8 of them.

Well I just went and tried out my AUS purchased copy of Super StarDust HD on my US account and collected 2 trophies. I guess that confirms it, if it wasn't already. Your trophies are borked. Sorry, but I've got no idea how to deal with that icon_sad.gif

Does anyone else find the camera annoying in this game?
I hate having to fight it from centering itself when using the x-axis. And when swimming underwater, it would be much better if it locked-on from behind.
