As someone pointed out in the comments of that video, that kid will be making more money than most of us one day. He is not just a geek, he is an uber geek with a lot of skill. That translates to $$$.

Mipac, that Halo kid wasn't so bad, when I was his age I had to pretend I had guns and stuff when I'd play around, wish I coulda made shit like that 
Good on him for taking a creative interest in his favourite game. I don't find that any sadder than people that dress up for whatever their interest is, take a look at ravers with their PHD hoodies and clown pants for example.
