PALGN Design 08 Launch

well i think that some of the very main problems that have come up during the launch (very big, glaring problems) should have been taken care of before the full launch. profile pages, search page, auction page (cant even bid on items, links not going to the right places, etc) all dont work properly, and are broken in some form or another. is there a timeline on these pages being fixed? i dont understand how this was missed before launch? was it because there wasnt any real changes to those pages so it was thought they would just 'work' with the new layout?

also, just a small note on the new review layout. personally, i dont like the new score system, because with the old system, it was quick and easy to read the comments made about each individual part. the score of 'sound' or 'gameplay' didnt really matter, it was what was written about it that really reflected the quality. final score is good, i like that, but also a quick 2 line summary of each part like before would be great, even if there were no scores for those parts.

but its not all negativity, i do like the new media panel, it makes it so much easier to look at screenshots etc. and posting while still on the article page is great aswell. there are good sides and bad sides to any change, i just think that some of these bad sides should be looked at a little closer.

Ok, I've updated some bits of the design based on feedback. Thanks to "click here" for the suggestion for sticking the news column on the left - I think that looks much better.

Obviously the E3 logo will go in a week, but I'll probably leave the darker background.

Samboy; the reason for pushing it out with some bit of the forums still broken is that we wanted to get it out before E3. The stuff that's still broken is being fixed.

with the new background though, the expand forums look rediculous.

edit: profile pages look slick now =D

Moving news to the left has already made a ton of difference. Its wider too, yeah? If not, then moving it has at least given me the impression its more spaced out, which is good.

Looks better definitely, I've already shared my thoughts about the shaded currently popular section but a part from that it is very cool

seeing all the news on the left side of the screen takes a bit to get used to. But it's cool.

Not sure if I am missing it or not, tell me if i am, but there is no "home" link on any pages you visit to take you back to the main page! Sometimes a friend will send me a direct link to an article. From there, I cant easily go to the main page

Other than that, I like the new layout
