Saw a video about this game a few months ago when at a mates place and was completely blown away, basically the Japanese were already playing it and I hadn't seen anything about it at all and that's why I was so surprised. It's a Resident Evil styled game where combat isn't the main focus, if you've played any of the others games then you'll know exactly what's in store. From what I saw it looked very solid, the animations were very smooth, the graphics were awesome and most of all it was some of the scariest shit i'd ever seen (and not just in a game). The way the enemies move is real creepy and they're actually quite fast (always awesome for getting the tension up cuz you have to react quicker) and bloody hell just look at them, the designs are real good and I have to admit i'm actually quite a tough person to impress when it comes to scary imagery.
It's gotten a couple of reviews and i'm happy to report they're very positive! Basically i'm hyped cuz I knew Alone in the Dark was gonna be a flop and I really need a good Survival Horror game cuz Resident Evil 5 ain't coming out for a while. Here is the Eurogamer review:
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=172394
The first 3 chapter's of Siren: Blood Curse are supposed to be available on the PSN Store from 24th July. I absolutely cannot wait and is currently my most anticipated game (with an actual release date).
Some screens:

I'm in the process of downloading the Japanese demo right now (actually I started last night and the f***er still isn't done). It's up on the US store too.
I'm reeeeally looking forward to this game. I was already interest thanks to the horror angle but the Eurogamer review pretty much sold it for me. I'm now throwing up whether I should go the episodic route or buy the blu-ray.
I can't wait to get scared again. _________________

Get the demo from the US store, it's in English and the one from the Japanese store isn't and doesn't have an English option. The demo makes a lot more sense and is easier to play if you can understand what's going on and follow the tutorial. _________________

been hanging out for this since they did that freaky count down site.
the first Siren game remains one of the most tense games i've played. freustrating as hell at times, but its a great little game.
Planning on picking up the blu-ray. Haven't heard if its getting a disk release over here or not, though the Asian release is meant to have english options on the disk, so i might aswell grab that. _________________

I'm pretty interested in this, heard the PS2 version was quite the scary game.
Also since I'm unsure of Silent Hill V and Fatal Frame IV went off to the Wii which I'll pick up for that.

I downloaded it from the jap store about a month ago, and I didn't understand it at all... Probably why it was so creepy, but it seems like its gonna be really good.
When I first got it, I had left it on the startup screen and it sounds like a woman having an orgasm, my roomate thought i was watching porn.

I had a go of the US demo last night.
Quite liked it. I have the first game on the PS2, Forbidden Siren. I've played that a reasonable amount but found it quite tough to work out what I was supposed to be doing at times. Blood Curse seems much improved in that regard.
Although the demo is fairly short, it has atmosphere in spades. A definite purchase for me _________________
