I don’t watch either. I usually watch Sportscentre on ESPN or the Breakfast Round-Up on Fox Sports News before going to work.

Oh yes, I knew I forgot something, I chuck FSN on if mum doesn't have the Today Show on all ready. I would prefer Sportscentre but it's on before I get up, owning to Perth time. icon_sad.gif

No tv for me in the mornings. Up at 6:00, leave at 7:10, and I spend more than half this time 'up' actually walking in a semi-asleep state. I find that when I have watched tv in the mornings, it makes me both more tired and causes me to miss the bus...

And during the holidays, well by the time I am actually out of bed, both shows are almost finished, if not long over icon_biggrin.gif

On the odd occasion where I do watch it, its sunrise.

I don't like Sunrise (mum's a huge fan), and I'm rarely awake when it's on, but having seen the Today show, that is just painful. Those Channel 9 'personalities' try far too hard to present a carbon copy of what 7 are doing, right down to now having a token gay Hollywood reporter.

They've always had him.

For the Record: Id prefer to watch Sunrise over the Today show like id prefer to be killed by a high velocity bullet than by drowning in my own vomit and faecal matter.

While most of you wake up to the shows, I on the other hand go to bed to them and I find that it is nice to watch them for 30 minutes (or more) as I wind down ready to doze off. It's relaxing I guess.

Anyway my choice out of the two is definitely Sunrise, although there is some bias behind that. While I flick between the two (and Ten's news as well) shows because I hate ads, Sunrise gets more of my attention. Mel is a Canberra girl as well and yes, she is every bit as nice in person as she is on TV. That's the bias thing I was talking about, her being Canberran plus the fact I have met her.

Whenever these shows have featured stuff on video games, I have found Sunrise to be more 'open' to our hobby than Today has been. There was 2 segments that Sunrise had earlier in the year, one about the R 18+ rating and one about GTA IV and both were approached with everyone's perspectives in mind, not just the "think of the children" or whatever that you would normally get with ACA/Today Tonight. Today has also been reasonably good with the topics when they have handled it, but at the same time it seems like that if they could actually have the choice, they would write gaming off as a kids thing only and so on. I guess Today would appeal more to the older people while Sunrise appeals more to the late teens/20s/30s/40s market.

That's just a guess on my part, though. Oh and I'm also biased because both Mel and Nat are hot, but anyway...

I think he's talking about Richard Reid.

I used to watch Sunrise a lot when I was unemployed, but since I've been working I don't bother watching TV in the morning. I'd much rather get crap done before going into work. I voted for Sunrise, but only because they have less annoying presenters (and that's a statement on how truly horrible Nine's Today Show folk are.)

It could be worse. It could be 'A Current Affair or Today Tonight?'

The Chaser got me into these shows.
I'd go Today Tonight. If I'm bored I'll watch both. (I live in Canberra where ACA is shown at 7 cause Nine news is at 6 WIN news is at 6:30.)

Heh, another Canberran. I guess that makes a total of 7 people now...

Does that include my partial Canberran status?
