I will need everyone's friend codes again. Seeing this is a new version and all. So anyone who had me previously will need to delete that one and upload the new code. Mine is in my sig. But thru the magic of the internet here is one I prepared earlier:

Brawl FC: 0173-2728-5518

Wii Console code (for map sharing): 3738-2898-8742-4030

For pics of the N64 remake maps I made it's on page 5 or click this sentence.

Send me a PM so I know who I need to add etc. I will have to reload my N64 levels back up.

^ I've added you again Stomp. For anyone who wants mine, it's in my sig and hasn't changed.

Edit: If anyone wants to brawl, I'll be online until at least 11.

Man, the music is just EPIC! I love the remix tracks.

So much love has gone into this game. I had to spend 30 mins remapping the classic controller though to get it right. I don't like the controller 'UP' for jump.

I love it how you can reamp it to anything. It's a very well thought out game.

I think you should find your way here for your friendcodes. So it is all in one place. I got both Stomp and adz added here.

... I still can't find the WC24 options. It supposed to come with Spectator mode which is also missing in action. When are they supposed to appear? And where abouts will it be?

EDIT: Well I haven't technically added anyone, but I will.

EDIT 2: The WC24 options finally appeared. Tsk.

Wow. So worth the wait. The subspace single player mode is actually kinda cool too, better than I expected, even if it's easy. Can't wait to delve deeper.

Good games Admeister. Bloody Pikachu. Haha! My Dedede was target practice. Grr those Final Smashes.

I've noticed a few things... Bowser was supposed to win when he does his forward B special throw when you both fall in the pit but it gave us sudden death. It's supposed to make Bowser win as he's on top and the first player to pitfall loses.

And perhaps it's just been a while since I've played Brawl, but Diddy can stick to walls??? That was the first time I've seen it. That New Pork City level is awful.

Yeah, those were some good matches. icon_smile.gif The Final Smashes can either be really useful or really annoying. You kept getting Warioman which was hard to avoid. As for Diddy, yep, he can stick to walls, it can be fairly handy.
New Pork City is a good level for sniping, and it has plenty of places to hide as well, I like it on the whole.

Too bad this isn't actually CoD4.

It's way too large, and 1/2 of the time zoomed all the way out so your character is reduced to a clump of pixels.

I'll be up for some games tonight.

I'm having trouble with the game. When I run around I tend to have problems being able to connect with enemies, epsically when it's zoomed out.

What's a good starting character?

Hey guys, I haven't read through this thread at all (didn't want any spoilers) but I was looking to get some answers to a couple of questions so if anyone can help that would be awesome. Looking to play it with some mates tonight and hopefully unlock some characters for the sydney meet at my place.

1. How many characters does the game start with?

2. How many characters does the game have all up to use?

3. What's the best way to unlock all/most of these characters?

1. Around 20

2. 35 (or 40 or so if you count completely different forms - Sheik, Pokemon Trainer's pokemon etc)

3. Going through Subspace Emissary unlocks them all eventually. Or just playing multi a lot.

I havent started a new game in ages so im not sure if you start with him or not but Marth is a very good all round character and is easy to pick up. I first started with mario and it took me awhile to learn his moves.

I take it 'subspace emissary' is the single player mode? Does it make any difference unlocking anyone when playing through with another player (I heard you can do it co-op)?

Also how many times to I have to go through subspace emissary to unlock most of them? Is it multiple playthroughs with different characters or something? Like what is the general criteria? Using a character once, or clocking it with a character etc? Like with Tekken it would be I clock it with any character and a character is unlocked. Basically all are unlocked in a certain order you just have to clock it X amount of times to unlock X amount of characters. A pretty simple procedure to follow.

You can play coop in it and still unlock them, yes.

You essetially play through a story and you play with all characters. You just have to play it through once. Which should be under 10 hours...

^ as you go through the story, more chars join 'the cause' and you subsequently unlock them for good.

Ok sweet that actually sounds real good. So the single-player is actually quite meaty it's not like real short where you have to complete it multiple times with different characters! Awesome! I like the way they've done it, play through it once with more variety and characters joining along the way. That's how it should be imo.

Try Pit or Meta-Knight. Spammers that they are. icon_razz.gif

No its far from short and the cutscenes while playing the single player are really quite amazing. Does anyone know if there are any bonuses in the PAL release over NTSC? or vice versa?

After playing the game for a couple of hours yesterday my opinons on Brawl are a bit negative. I find that the core of the game isnt any different from melee which is a dissapointment and also it feels heaps slower than melee which i dislike.

Also the lag is horrible, last night I played for about 30 mins on wifi and when playing matches 1 second in the game was 3 seconds in real life.

The lag depends on who you play with really. Location and ISP and connections etc. I've played more smooth games than laggy ones. Mind you this is all using Friend Code players.

I remember that my matches with Admeister ages ago were laggy as to the point of it being unplayable. I'm talking about taking a good 2 minutes before the characters began moving after their intro. But when we had matches last night it was relatively smooth and was quite enjoyable.

Overall it varies. Try playing with different people.

I unlocked all the characters today, thanks largely to SSE. I must admit, I haven't played on all the stages yet, but I like the WarioWare one. The 'mini-games' you have to play add a real twist to fights.

The Space Amarda stage looks very impressive. It's just dazzling watching the ship move through space.

I like using Meta Knight, Peach, Pit, Olimar, Wario and Pokemon Trainer. I haven't had enough time with others to get a feel for them, though Sonic is a pretty good fighter as well.

They probably slowed the game down a little to make Sonic seem even faster.

I really like Sonic - but Kirby is always the one I win with.

Jump - Rock - Jump - Rock - Up Smash - Up Smash - Up Smash

Yes... I'm starting to miss Brawl... I even played Melee today, but its just not the same...

I got a few more characters left to get. Just finished SSE, so I just got to go back to the respective levels to get the rest. The SSE was not as bad as people have cried out about. It is pretty decent and the cutscenes are gorgeous.

Having a few mates over playing really struck back to how awesome the game is.

I really like how the SSE unlocks everyone. So time efficient compared to Melee and its 1000 VS matches to unlock Game and Watch. Ugh.

That mode is ok, probably what will bring me back a few months from now when I get bored of the game for the time being.

And Square finally has a game other than FF to point at so fanboys can stop saying they have too many FMVs - Brawl exceeds all the FMVs from all the FF games by far xD
