Which progressed to Arthur PC point and click games and random matches of Descent on Mac, and ended with Unreal Tournament.
I like how they slowly phased out the education at my school.
Back to topic, I think it was Banjo Kazooie or Mario Kart 64..
Don't really remember which came first. _________________

Wow, I had the exact same game on the PC.. loved it to pieces. I remember it lagged on my Pentium laptop
I'm a little confused on my first game (with my own money.. my games have always been with my money dammit).. there were two. I'm not sure which one came first. I have both here in mint condition, minus the box, still on my CD rack (I was a crazy kid). Network Q Rally for DOS and TOCA Touring Car Championship for Windows.
I was about six years old at the time, I remember seeing TOCA on a PlayStation 1 and instantly deciding I must have it. Luckily it was on the PC (I was not allowed a console) and I forked out $26 of all my saved birthday money to get it from Big W. Our PC was rather pitiful, it had no 3D support, so I played it with only software support at like 3FPS. Then one day we got a Monster 3D expansion card and the game ran like butter
If only I could get the game to work on my current PC it bitches about Windows XP. If anyone has the PlayStation version, let me know..
EDIT: Christ, how could I forget my point-and-click heritage? Putt-Putt, Freddie Fish, Pyjama Sam and Spy Fox.. memories.. I have no idea if these came first or whatever. _________________

I remember the first game I bought with my own money was Banjo Kazooie for a sweet $79.99 at Kmart. I saved for months through mostly scavenging and scams (which included digging up witchetty grubs from the garden and selling them for 50c each at the front ) and ended up with $80 of almost complete silver coinage. It was a great feeling though, playing such a great game and knowing I was reaping the rewards from all that hard work. _________________

Which game i first got?
Gawd knows, I've been gaming for as long as i can remember. Might've been Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but that was apparently a cover for my dad to play it, lol. I was only 2-3 years old.
Its great to have a gamer dad. _________________

It was either Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest or Super Mario Kart on the SNES. I remember doing various chores like most kids did back then and the purchase felt very rewarding.
First console I bought was the original Playstation. Mum had bought the SNES, N64 and Gameboy Color prior to that. _________________

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES - good lord that game was hard. Finished it though.
EDIT: no sorry that's incorrect!
I actually got one of those Japanese Famicoms, the red and white ones, I got four games with it, but I only remember one - Legend of Kage... haha I loved that game!!! Doesn't really hold up now - but I remember storming the castle - that was epic and hard as. _________________

Werewolf for the NES would have to be the first game I bought myself. Awesome game too (I loved going ultra-mega wolf mode), even if I did get stuck at one point and could never get past it.

Oh yeah man werewolf was bad ass!I remember going all orange and beating the living shit out of enemies that were previously owning you.I think you had to collect little orbs or balls or something.Quality game.
I can't remember the first game i bough..........oh wait i can.It totally just came to me.I remember my brother and i worked our asses off for months doing chores and what have you, mowing the lawn, vacuuming, all the crap stuff, just to save up money and buy our selves one each of these babies.
That 80's techno boxart still makes me all giddy. Now obviously tetris was included with those packs but at the time toy world were also having a 'get one game free' dealio, so my bro picked up aliens(sux to be him, terrible game, terribly hard, actually nigh impossible without a faqs and no save function) and i picked up sneaky snakes.
Yeah i rock. That;s the only game i remember buying during the brick days, all the others just seemed to have 'appeared' over the years. _________________

I don't know about bought, but the first thing I (we, brother and I) got was a SNES and Super Mario Kart. I really doubt that I purchased a game myself untill the N64 days when I was smart enough to save up my pocket money and pool it with my brothers. I used to get $1 a week. haha, used to be thrilled too. _________________

My first game I ever bought was...
I remember walking into baycity plaza down in the Geelong area, and went into target. I had birthday money and was supposed to buy some new clothes. but being 10 years old, clothes werent exactly exciting. So I went to the video games and saw duke nukem sitting on the shelf, but it had a cracked cover so I scored it for a discount price of $28.
Come to think of it, I dont know how I got away with buying a game like that at my age. _________________

Duke Nukem at 12?
Wow..
Anyway, the first game i can remeber buying would be....
Game Boy Colour and Star Wars Pod Racer. Complete with rumble pack!
Next game was pokemon blue. Had some damn sweet times with that game. Friend had a link cable, oh man.
I was in a drama production once, and backstage, when most of the chorus was not on for a while, and before the show, heaps of people were swapping games and trading pokemon, and it was sweet. _________________

Hah, primary school excursions were quite awesome for this reason too. Good times..
In terms of underage violent gaming, I introduced my younger brother to Unreal Tournament 2003 when he was seven years old. Oh dear.. _________________

First game i ever bought with my own hard-earned cash was Atlantis: The Lost Empire on PS1. I loved that game, I played it over and over, until I bought Tekken 3, and got so proud when I first beat Arcade mode (using Yoshimitsu, mind). _________________
