I'm surprised there isn't actually more hype for it around here, since from all reports it's basically the best representation of soccer ever in a video game. |
I'm keen on it too...have it pre-ordered and i'm expecting a call from GAME tomorrow to come pick it up.

The thing is, it was supposed to come out last week. Then it got bumped to this week. Then my brother talked to the EB near Town Hall in Sydney, and they said they weren't getting it till next week. Guess I'll ring up JB tomorrow and ask them.

EB's site also reads April 17th which is a little worrying and i couldn't even find a listing for the Wii version on GAME's site
I'll be Near Town Hall myself tomorrow morning so i can check in person with th same EB and the JB next door. My copy is pre-ordered at GAME Broadway.
Wish me luck!

well thanks for your advice, ill give it a go tommorow, i guess i dont mind too much since i was prepared to pay full price anyway, but $15 is a fair amount to put towards mario kart wii...
I would be happy with any form of refund cause if they give me store credit it just goes to preordering mario kart _________________

I didn't bother going in today, but i called GAME Broadway and they said PES 08 (Wii) hasn't come in yet...whats worse is that their computer still states a release date of April 4th!?!
Did you call JB?

I just went to JB Hi-Fi, EB and Toys R Us at Chatswood, none of them had it.
EB did, however, have a preowned copy of SSX Blur for 35 bucks that I picked up. Cheapest I've ever seen EB sell a preowned game for a current system. I mean, three rows up they were selling Need For Speed : ProStreet Wii for 95 bucks. Who the hell is buying that?

^ I guess its been delayed again because GAME haven't called me about it, and by now they would've received today's new releases.

Has anyone purchased the wireless nunchuk thing (from Kmart/Target/Myer) and can give a little review?
Cause apparently it merely hides the cord but also has a wireless receiver thing a majig...
But that's all I've heard
It would be greatly appreciated, cause Nyko haven't released their 'better looking' actual wireless nunchuck yet _________________

Call of Juarez. And it's not actually a bad game (thanks The Answer!). _________________

you might want to be wary of the prices advertised on JB's website either that or the people at my JB are bums, they told me that the $79 price for BWii, Zack and Wiki etc. is the online price only, so they wouldnt give me any money back, but I am a little confused since the online store dosent sell at those prices, or in some cases dosent even sell the game at all.
Im beggining to think that its just the people at my local JB... _________________

That's complete bullshit (on the store's part). The online store's domain name is jbhifionline.com.au or something, this is advertised on the retailer site.
Does the online store even accept trade-ins? Something is fishy about all this. I might send their head office an email asking what the situation is, assuming they have an email on their site. _________________

Their catalogue states "no multiples of same game accepted"...but there's plenty of other good/cheap trade bait around. |
Oh dear! Well you can ignore my previous post then! |
I was going to say, go order Tiger Woods and Transformers (at a whopping $17.54 AUD) and trade them in but JB recently added Transformers to their exclusions list.

Wii:
Offroad Extreme!: $29.95
Super Kart GP: $29.95
Trade in 2 Wii games and get one of the following titles for FREE*:
Battalion Wars II
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Mario Kart Wii (available from April 24th)
Sega Superstars Tennis
Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure |
So, only $60 effectively for the above trade-in games (neither of the above 2 $29.95 games are on the exclusion list)?

If Super Kart GP = "Myth Makers Super Kart GP" then its actually on the exclusions list - LINK
The other game appears to be fine though.
But you could always just buy both Rayman Raving Rabbis and Surf's Up at EB Games using their "2 for $50" deal and trade them at JB.

Yeah, Super Kart GP is Myth Makers. I can never remeber the first bit, nor read the title in the tiny box art image. _________________

wat i'm worried about though is buying those 2 games and then getting screwed at JB when they say sorry, these games can't be traded in.

I was tempted to point that one out, but didn't have the heart (or lack the heart, as it were).
Might pick that title up.

I didn't mean for it to come across as a dig at you, I just thought it was an awesome typo your bargain lists are very much appreciated! |
I didn't take it as a dig, I'm just in the habbit of apologising when I make typos. We're still cool.
As for Prof. Layton, he's 59.95 at a few stores in the list, and 56.99 at toys r us (asuming they do the usual 20% off DS games). Likewise, Fire Emblem should be 79.99 at Toys R Us. |
LOL... so (and this is only making fun) should you apologise for misspelling it still? It's actually Call of Juarez. And "habbit" - is that a hobbit that's entered the sisterhood? _________________ GAMEparents
